the first African American Female
To be awarded The Female Vocalist
Of the Year Award by the Dove Awards.
She would go on to receive the same
Honor in 1997. "Alone In His Presence",
began a ride that has since been unmatched by

Beautiful as always. I love the fact that she is so pure and consistent and hasn't been swayed by the ways of this world unlike other gospel singers. Lovely seeing her husband Alvin and son there too, always supportive.
