thank you so much for all the great tutorials on here and your website! very useful and well demonstrated - I like the fact, that the tutorials are available as videos and in written form, so i can go back to the posts an read things that aren’t clear to me. keep it up! 💞
Hi! I'm glad you like them! Could you please tell me where? I can only find one place. I hear Ctrl+B, but it might not be very clear. I will add the shortcuts as captions on future videos.
Thanks so much for creating and posting this! Short and to the point, and very easy to understand. I was trying to glean this from a Skillshare class and you did a far better job in a shorter period of time!
Sorry to be off topic but does any of you know a trick to log back into an instagram account..? I was dumb lost my password. I love any assistance you can give me
This is so great!!! 🎊🎉✨ I have a question, when I move to the other project or new file, I no longer have the pattern on my swatch, how do I put in my new file swatch?
Amazing video! I took some photos of roses and leaves. I followed your tutorial and made a seamless pattern but when I zoom it , flowers and leaves looks blurry and not good. Where did I make a mistake? I wanna upload that seamless design on the Print on demand . Thank you.
I think you have to vectorise your images first before you create a seamless pattern. Thats usually what i do lol hope that helps :) Theres a lot of quick tutorials on how to vector your image/designs on YT so goodluck :)
Do you use raster images? The crop tool only works on vectors. If you use images that are in JPEG or PNG file format, you'll have to vectorize them first. Or you could use a clipping mask instead of cropping it.
Okay so I made a pattern with varying opacities, and then when i expanded and cropped with the pathfinder, my desired opacity was lost (maybe because we paste the same thing at the back so it gets layered or so... But the change comes only after I crop it) So what would u suggest if i want to have lesser opacity for my elements, and still have a background color? (I am sorry if this is too long or incomprehensive, but I had no other way of explaining this😅😅)
You might need to use Expand more than once as it usually works only on the top layer. You can also try without the background at the back and add it after you crop the pattern.
Are you using raster images? You have to embed the images before you can make the pattern. Just select them and click on embed in the toolbar above the workspace.
Hi, Paula! If I said artword or wrote that in the captions, it was a mistake. I was probably talking about the artboard, the work area that's similar to Photoshop's canvas.
I love the expand and crop trick! thanks.
You are a good teacher.
Thank you so much for this tutorial, it is very helpful and literally saved lots of my time. I was trying to figure this out for such a long time.

Thank you so much for your kind words, Lola! Yes, I also love seeing how others work and having notes to look at if I don't understand something.
Hi! Your tutorials are very useful and easy to understand. But I have an issue... When you say past to back you say control V... But is control B

When I crop it, it doesn't crop it at all so I don't know why it's doing that for me?
