Scarlet Rivera is the fiddle player. He saw her walking down the street with her fiddle and case, and asked her if she played. She said yes, and went to the with him and cut an album...then this tour. She cut one more too I believe. Listen to the album version, it’s even more of a vibe. If you like the fiddle check out “Hurricane”. It’s a true story as well.
First time I've seen this live performance, interesting to see. I'm not a huge Dylan fan per se but I do have the album from which this song came from. Every time I hear the studio version of this, I'm impressed by his vocals. He sounds great, with no qualification or reservation.
You should check out “Joey” from Desire, and “Sad Eyed Lady of the Lowlands” from Blonde on Blonde. I think you will dig them both. Thanks for your videos brother!
I like how you mention the VIBE of this performance. That's really the only way to put it. Some of Dylan's best songs weren't recorded right because the vibe in the studio was wrong. A song with one of the most haunting, mysterious vibe ever is Dylan's studio version of "Man in the Long Black Coat." It's a song you just don't listen to, you experience. Stay healthy and in good spirits, brother!
This is the best version of this song I’ve heard, and the reason I watched the Rolling Thunder film on Netflix. So bottom heavy that the violin works really well.
currently binging all ur dylan videos and im considering the patreon thing but ive never had an account there before, keep doing what ur doing bro ur amazing and hella entertaining
If you’ve never seen the Scorsese documentaries on Dylan you have to ASAP!! No Direction Home and The Rolling Thunder Revue (about this concerts era) think they’re both still on Netflix
I did a cover of that song if you’re interested. Apologies for the self-promotion, I don’t like to do it but I thought it was fairly relevant and I love that song as well along with most of Dylan’s work.
Love your channel mate but you gotta react to Lynard skynrd Free Bird and I guarantee you will have your Number one Reaction :-) !!! So Peace and God Bless you and yours From you're White Brother from Sunny England :-) !!! You're Daddy is an outlaw and a wanderer by Trade :-) !!!!
His phrasing on this version is insane.
His phrasing and delivery is always insane,It's Bob Dylan
The perfect example of the difference between a great voice and a great vocalist.
Oh..wow.well put !!!
Im my view he's a great vocalist AND has a great voice.

if you like this version check out Dylan Bootleg vol 5
His vocal range on the studio version is insane
one of my favorite songs ever
You have very good taste brother. Many blessings.
A Prodigy! He is the One & Only!! THANK YOU FOR DOING BOBBY! Nobody does my Bob ❤️❤️❤️
Well said!
Best song writer ever, in my opinion
You like the violin on this song, she played on the entire Desire album.
Wow love this deep cut reaction. So much imagery on this song and on the album as a whole too.
The album this comes from Is Desire and it’s got some really great songs
The 1984 live version of ‘jokerman’ is a great song!
Really loving your Dylan reactions Teez. He was definitely one of my favorites growing up.
That song rules!
Most genius person in the world. Just my opinion. His talents are endless.
Great song, great singing,great music!
Well, in before the block! 😋
good breakdown on this fantastic song
I saw him on this tour, The Rolling Thunder Review. Joni Mitchell and Joan Baez were on stage also. One of my first concerts and probably the best.
Man you might give a go to Dylan's Jokerman. Surprising lineup.
Yeah. This is what we love about youtube. Everyone know of Dylan, yet... I never heard this song before. soulful... "to that valley below."
and here you get the violin player you found on Hurricane, Scarlet Rivera!
You should check out “Joey” from Desire, and “Sad Eyed Lady of the Lowlands” from Blonde on Blonde. I think you will dig them both. Thanks for your videos brother!
The whole Desire album is off the charts!!!!

Have you watched Hurricane yet? Man it's awesome live with the violin!
This is the best version of this song I’ve heard, and the reason I watched the Rolling Thunder film on Netflix. So bottom heavy that the violin works really well.
Shelter from the Storm is great on Hard Rain
@@christopherhopkins949 my fav live version of it
Ah sheeet. I just recommended you listen to this on another video haha. Amazing performance
Hey Teez! Hey all! Happy Sunday!
currently binging all ur dylan videos and im considering the patreon thing but ive never had an account there before, keep doing what ur doing bro ur amazing and hella entertaining
Isis is one of my favorites from the Desire album. It may be a simple song, but the story’s not
You should try “Lilly, Rosemary and the Jack of Hearts” off of “Blood on the Tracks”.
Yea, you got good taste. Only got to see him once, not a real flashy show, doesn’t have to be. He is just so damn good.
Great reaction again..THAT is off album DESIRE..
Try ' Black Diamond Bay'
you absolutely must hear the studio version. this is just ok by comparison
Dylan's early albums were his best imo. His later albums so so.
I could not disagree more but totally respect your opinion particularly as the early alumnus are also great!
Blood on the Tracks is his best
If you’ve never seen the Scorsese documentaries on Dylan you have to ASAP!! No Direction Home and The Rolling Thunder Revue (about this concerts era) think they’re both still on Netflix
The violin is as good on "Mozambique"
Hi I love your videos!!!!!
Sometime it would be great if you could react to Bob Dylan's 'Key West (Philosopher Pirate)' from 2020!!!!
I did a cover of that song if you’re interested. Apologies for the self-promotion, I don’t like to do it but I thought it was fairly relevant and I love that song as well along with most of Dylan’s work.
You digging on Scarlet Rivera’s violin?
Scarlett Rivera on the violin
That is some far out heavy poetry.
And fools say he can't sing. You should check out a cover version (I believe in Turkish of all things) on Masked and Anonymous.
I Bleve This Is From The Rolling Thunder Review
Anyone suggested It’s Alright Ma yet?
Watch the film.
Fucking amazing
Try It’s All Over Now Baby Blue
One of my favorite Dylan songs. Judging by the lyrics it sounds like he got a bit too involved with a Romani woman.
