First time I've seen this live performance, interesting to see. I'm not a huge Dylan fan per se but I do have the album from which this song came from. Every time I hear the studio version of this, I'm impressed by his vocals. He sounds great, with no qualification or reservation.

A song with one of the most haunting, mysterious vibe ever is Dylan's studio version of "Man in the Long Black Coat." It's a song you just don't listen to, you experience. This is the best version of this song I’ve heard, and the reason I watched the Rolling Thunder film on Netflix. So bottom heavy that the violin works really well.
