There was a big difference between the first ones I tried which I know now were no where close to ripe and these ripe ones. They seem to have a long shelve life like the regular kiwis too. I wonder if you can make kiwi preserves from them?

I’m sure you can preserve and even dehydrate them. Putting up a video on how you care for your kiwi plants will help out people who are looking for tips.

" I can't stop eating these!" Lol, I am so happy that you found out to let them ripe first until they are soft! Well, I planted mine today out of the box of Lowe's indeed! Not even sure whether I picked a good spot to make a trellis. We'll see!

No reaction to eating the ripe Hardy Kiwi. Now I know what a ripe Kiwi is suppose to look like.

You casually mix in a BLACK MADEIRA -- OMG it looks delicious! Is that your first ripe one in December? I have a few small trees and one with two figs but wondering if they will ripen, I hear its late. Anyways liked the video and thanks for sharing!

Yeah, even regular fuzzy kiwis don’t taste good when they aren’t soft yet.

Hey I love your videos! Where did you purchase these Hardy Kiwis? Also do you have a go to nursery? Thanks

I think I bought them from Lowes one year in the spring. This variety required a male and female plant. Some others might have male and female grafted on one plant. I was just looking on Spring Hill Nursery and they advertise on plant with out mention of male or female and it's not available until March. I just checked ebay and they are selling male and female plants of different varieties.

Yes they are small white flowers. If you google hardy kiwi flowers there are images of them.

New to this channel, did you just buy the hardy kiwi at your local garden shop? I'm from Florida but moved to Ohio 8 years ago. I had no idea I could grow kiwi here. I'm excited to try.

I think I purchased them at Lowes. I took five years for them to fruit though. They are called hardy kiwi and are very cold hardy.
