⚠️just to let you know, this is the first song Bangchan ever wrote as a trainee in JYP, so knowing this, the lyrics are actually kinda sad😭
It's not that sad, because it's not true. Chan composed the music as a trainee, he didn't write the lyrics then. He also didn't write it alone, he and Changbin wrote the song together as for the All-Night unit.

Fun fact: Chan said this was actually the first song he made :) Yes, even before Hellevator. But they only released it on YT years later xD SO if you think about it, this is really about his time as a trainee.

Teddy I think you didn't realize that Bang Chan was singing between a grandma and a grandpa asleep in the bed. Then at the end of the video the granpa has disappeared while the grandma is still asleep. And the cake has the answers!

3Racha are notorious for not sleeping. Hyunjin also tends to stay up late, but still goes to bed earlier than them. He will say he is going to bed, and then they tone down the noise 😆 The other dorm tend to go to sleep earlier. Felix also used to be a night-owl (gaming until the early hours, or baking cookies for the others when they get back from a late schedule) but he has been trying to sleep earlier. A lot of their schedules are very late, so that doesn't help. Strangely, neither Aussie drinks coffee.
They mentioned that this was the first song Chan wrote on his own as a trainee around 2016. It was obviously revised and honed over the next few years before release. They started teasing us with snippets for about two years before it was finally released.
The fact that JYP gives them the budget to do pretty good quality MVs for some of their 'fun' projects says a lot!

Skz record/player's are not official discography that's why they are not on spotify, but a bunch of them will come out on an album with a lot of those individual projects.

Re the YT music channel--I'm a very late adopter of pretty much anything. I was still relying on radio and my cd collection until last year when I moved to an area with no decent radio and all my cds were in in storage. I randomly chose to use the youtube YT for streaming, and took it for granted that the Skz Player/Record songs were easy to get. I didn't know until recently that you can't get the SkzPlayer/Record songs on other music streaming sites. YT just puts them in as videos; if you can get it anywhere on youtube, you can get it on YT music. This is not a YT promotion, it's like every other streaming service, it's got good points and bad points. But definitely one of the good points is that I can get the Skz Record/Player songs (esp Maknae on top and some of Changbin's solo and duet songs) on my music playlists without having to think about it. I was able to get some of the Mayfly songs (from Kingdom)--which will probably never be officially released because of all the conflicting company permissions etc. they would need--on my playlists by putting on the lyrics videos--you have to be careful to chose a lyrics video that doesn't end with totally different music but they exist. That made me really happy.
6:35 ‘꿀 총’ reminds me of the iconic 3racha song ‘can’t live without changbin’ have you heard it?
chan said it later in an interview that this was his first ever song which is crazy to think about, but the lyrics make sense to that time period of his life. the music video has so many funny anecdotes inside. vampires can't enter anyone's house unless they're invited in, so basically, since we see the old man disappear by the end of the mv, it is speculated that the old lady let the guys in to get rid of him 😂 that's why the cake you see is made up of eyes and fingers 👀 funnily enough, most of us were so focused on the song and how good the kids looked that we never noticed what was happening until the last clip rolled in and we were like "huh? what happened to the old man?". also, during the "i don't want to go to sleep now" you see felix holding a blood orange which means they can live off of food rather than ykw 👀
bang chan's a massive insomniac, and even more so in his trainee days so it makes complete sense that sleeplessness is a theme throughout their music.
Chan has insomnia and made a song called Insomnia (along with bin and jisung) 😂 it's very good you should react to that one as well

I always wondered if the lady at the end was supposed to be a contrast to the kind of "staying up is all fun and creativity". Because it's like at the end of the day, her bed is empty - no partner in the pajamas - maybe because he's Up All Night.
Or it could be a hint to 'this lifestyle is not sustainable'. You might not get to grow old and have matching pjs with your partner - if you keep running your body like this.

Teddy hi I never comment lol but just wanted to let you know that Chris has confirmed that they will be releasing the SKZ Player songs for streaming next year. Not sure if it will be a physical album or if they’re releasing only some songs but it’s coming.
Maybe that was the “big album” he said was coming soon 👀
I think that release is still gonna happen this year... like, at the end of the year. On the video they released in the beggining of 2022 («Stray Kids "STEP OUT 2022"»), they showed thay they would release 2 Albums AND a SKZ Player + SKZ Record Album :D So, yeah! We're getting what we've been asking for for ages
It will be a physical album tho. The SKZ Replay album is the record/player album. I don’t know which songs exactly will be on that now but it will be physical released together with the 3rd Gen stay membership. And only with that membership. But the songs will be available for streaming on Spotify ect ✨

skz replay (album with players and records) is coming on the 20th, so most of them should be on spotify then.

Up all night is from the Stray Kids Player/Record Series. It's where the members show music they've done (mostly solo projects but also multiple members like this one). They were only released on youtube and you can't find them on spotify or somewhere else. But with the new Fanclub generation they'll release an album which includes these songs and some of them will be available on music streaming sites in december. You might wan't to check out Han - I got it. It's a self written rap track from him.

Yeah 3Racha tend to stay up late or not sleep at all.... Hyunjin (that lives with these chaos gym bros) mentioned that in one kids room... the boys in the other dorm live a bit healthier in that regard 😅

This song is called Up all night, another underrated skz track.
My whole quarantine experience was staying up really late and waking up late, mostly because staying up late gave me the chance to do what I wanted while the family was asleep. It became my me time.
Also just the other night I got inspiration for some writing so I kept waking up to write my ideas down. Everytime I tried to fall asleep more ideas would come, so I would have to turn my light back on so I could write something else down.

I don't know if you noticed the plot...They are vampires that broke into a eldery couple house. First we see both (a woman and her husband) sleeping. For example when Chan sits between them. Then we see the kids in the kitchen making "a cake". They put a prop that resambles a hand in the blender, playing with a jelly eyes, decorating a cake with the fingers. Then at the end the grandpa is missing, and theres only a woman......I think the conclusion is simple now...(Also they released this song in the Korean's "spooky season", something like their second halloween)

The rap line is Han, Changbin, Hyunjin & Felix, always has been since debut, I wanna clear this up bc ppl get confused bc of chan being in 3racha but 3racha is the producing/writing unit of stray kids & were a pre-debut rap group but in stray kids chan is only a sub rapper, same with lee know they mainly do vocals.

@@MorePara8 they don't specify it but it's known, he & lee know have done some rap on b-sides, but can u name a single title track chan has rapped on...no bc he's not part of rap line, rap is listed bc he is a sub rapper the same way Felix & hyunjin are sub vocalist on some songs (b-sides) Title track will always be their main potions Ppl keep mixing up the named units of 3racha, danceracha & vocalracha but those last 2 are fan named. Vocal line has always been Seungmin, I.N, Lee Know & Chan (woojin as main b4 departure then Seungmin) & rap line is Changbin, Han, Hyunjin, Felix. Yes they are all all-rounders & switch it up but they have main, lead, & sub positions. & I even have a vague memory of him saying he's vocal line I can't remember if it was chan's room or not tho

Since everyone seems to be talking rubbish, this is the All-Night unit. The track, like many many others was composed by BangChan while he was a trainee, the lyrics and probably the melody was added by him and Changbin for the unit song.
P.s, Red Lights was written while they were drunk in the hot tub, talking about being sexy. And Hyunjin didn't write it by himself. Chan doesn't even try to lie believably 😂
Sorry i keep replying to you but i wanted to correct some things. If you check the credits, the track is by nick lee and josh wei. The topline meaning the melody is by bang chan. Changbin only added his rap part to the lyrics. I didn't watch the video yet, did teddy say a misinfo?
