- The easiest and quickest way to make awesome cardboard horns.
use a sharp knife and be careful!
More detail: VVV
I made my strip about 30 inches long, but you can experiment, the longer a strip is the more segments you'll end up with. In the video the strip is 4 inches wide this will then be divided by 2 when you cut it, so mark a line running along the middle of your 4 inch wide strip. After its been rolled up on the marker you'll now know where the middle is and can cut along the line leaving you with 2 identical 2 inch wide strips still rolled up and ready to be cut along the length of the marker to get 2 identical sets of rings. Thanks for watching

Pro Tip: Adjust playback speed to .25
Good tip, I’ve also made a more in-depth version of this video that you can watcHornshttpsh here. How To Make Cardboard Horns ruclips.net/video/T9H4ywkKP38/видео.html
Actually, you can change the speed to you liking. I found .75 to be my speed.
Hey Diana, thanks for watching, I’m glad you found a speed that suits you. 😁 I’ve also made an updated version of this technique the video is here ruclips.net/video/T9H4ywkKP38/видео.html it’s a bit slower and much more in-depth. Happy making

As soon as you cut the cardboard in half after rolling it I exclaimed "Holy crap that's so smart!". This is genius. Fantastic, thank you so so much for sharing.
+thecreepz thanks, :D glad you liked it.
Have to admit that I needed to watch your video twice in order to comprehend why you cut the cardboard the way you did. As soon as I got the meaning behind it I was like "My God, how can people think up such clever things?". That's indeed a great idea.
Shucks, you flatter me. I’m glad you managed to understand the video in the end, I know it’s a bit quick and rather vague on the details. I plan on making a more in-depth video on the process so subscribe to see that when it’s out and a bunch more cardboard construction videos. Thanks for your comment and happy making.
Ps. Nice username 😉😆
Life saver! I needed to make horns before tomorrow night and these look quick and easy and light. I'm making them right now :)
this method is so quick, affordable and clever! i will definately make those and then add some hot glue for texture :3
and you are so sweet and nice in the comments section ^_^
+SimonHead hot glue for texture is fantastic idea!!. I've been lucky that almost all comments on my videos have been nice, polite, constructive and friendly ones. I try to stick to the philosophy "its nice to be nice".... (makes a change from the usual cesspool that is the RUclips comments section hahah)
Thanks for watching and commenting,
Happy making.
Patch.

Also I'm planning on making an updated version of this video soon with a few new tricks and more explanation. so keep an eye out for that. Anyway thanks for watching, thanks for the comment and happy making.

+Marla Parraguirre I'm glad it helped :D
Wow! Such an easy process! Thank you!
Wish you had shown step by step and exact measurements on the video even though you didn't talk through anything but overall it worked out and Glad you share it!👍
Thanks, this was a just a quick video, never expected it to be as popular as it is, so I made a second one that is a more in-depth tutorial. ruclips.net/video/T9H4ywkKP38/видео.html hope this helps. -patch-
If you paint them silver they would make some awesome looking robot horns :)
+SUGARHEAD XD yeah they would!! When you go to paint them give them a coat of PVA glue first, that way you'll have a smoother surface to paint and get a better finish.
+Hey Patch got it
This is gonna be so helpful for the cardboard ice dragon head I wanna make thank you so much man
fantastic simple method and use. Thanks for sharing.
+amszas thanks for watching and commenting. I'm gonna make some more cardboard creations soon so keep an eye open for them.
Im very nervous about our costume competition but when i watched this video,my problem is solved!! thank you very much!😙😙😙
+Justine Guimara wicked!! I'm glad my video helped :) best of luck with the competition and thanks for watching. :)
Now I need cardboard and glue because this looks fun to make :D
+Estil yeah it great fun and it's always a good idea to have cardboard and hot glue on hand. You can make pretty much anything with cardboard and hot glue.
thanks a lot for the tutorial, i am not that good with cosplay and that is a major help!
You’re very welcome. Cardboard is a great place to start as you can usually get it for free. Then all you need is a hot glue gun and a box cutter and you can make almost anything! Happy making 👍😁 ps. another great cosplay tutorial channel is PUNISHEDPROPS check out their videos if you haven’t already.
This is incredibly helpful. Thanks!
+Skitzee Fairy your welcome, thanks for watching.
a little fast but i get how it's done. Thanks :)
Hey +Violet Silver
Yeah this video is quite quick, but you can always go back and watch it again if you missed a bit. or you can click on the little gear (settings) button, it's on the bottom right hand corner of the video and is where you change the video quality but you can also change the playback speed and play back the video as slow as 1/4 normal speed. the speed setting is also fun when listening to music on youtube as you can speed up a song making any song sound like it was performed by Alvan & the Chipmunks :D haha.
thanks for watching and commenting
Happy Making
Patch.
This is a great technique. Thanks for posting!
+blindwolf thanks man, &a your welcome 😉👍
I need that horn for my costume/cosplay..。So I'm going to be "The Follower." From 123 Slaughter Me Street.
For Halloween Costume I guess.....
Thank You! This Helped Alot!
+Tenapplepie Aj your most welcome. Thanks for watching and commenting.
time to follow this and try to measure it all myself bc i'm difficult like that and want to make a swirl
Sweet! Now I can do a JSchlatt Cosplay! :D
Brilliant.
This is genius! I have so much cardboard!
+Yellow Third thanks.👍 cardboard is a fantastic metal to make stuff out of. I plan on making a bunch more cardboard based builds in the future.
Thank you sooòoooo much for this videoooooo 😭😭😭❤
You’re welcome, hope it helped 😁
how would I cover/paint this and make it waterproof? I would love to try a Satyr version of this
+PenCapChewer yeah you could totally do the Same thing with thin EVA foam and it'd be waterproof. To waterproof the cardboard, I'd give it a few coats of PVA glue then a few coats of spray paint or spray varnish after the PVA had completely dried. Thanks for watching & I hope it helps.
This is cool
+Hollow Sphere thanks :D
I'm wondering what you can do to actually attach them to your head? Would you use a headband or some other cool trick? Considering these are cardboard, it's pretty light weight, huh? Anyways, great video! I've been trying to find a a very simple and fast method for weeks and you really helped me a lot. Cheers!
Yeah they are pretty light, hot glueing them to a head band would probably work pretty well, especially if it’s a wide head band. Using 2 narrow headbands would make them more stable and probably easier to hide the headband under your hair. I put the ones I made on a cardboard helmet instagram.com/p/BY8vy5ug40l/ anyway thanks for watching. I’m glad the video helped. 👍😁
Hey Patch - Wow, that looks amazing! Thanks again ☺️
You’re most welcome. 👍 and thanks for watching.
gonna make a realistic dragon semi puppet marianete
That sounds great! I really want to try making a puppet sometime. I’ve made a more in-depth cardboard horns video you can for Ned it here, ruclips.net/video/T9H4ywkKP38/видео.html I just explain in more detail how to make the horns and offer a few other tips and tricks. Happy dragon building 😁👍
cool!
Thanks Ruth 😊
Thanks so much, These will work nicely with a skyrim helmet project :)
+Kaitikai you're very welcome :) I'm glad my video helped. You can make all different sized and shaped horns using this method. I actually used the horns from this video on a skyrim inspired helmet. Hope your helmet build goes well. Show me what you've made I'm HeyaPtch on Instagram and Twitter. Thanks for watching :)
Hey Patch Thanks for letting me know! Ill be sure to show you the finished project :)
Could you possibly use super glue if you don't have hot glue?
Hey +Donni Divelbiss-keizur Yeah, super glue is great for cardboard and paper, however you have to be really quick and precise. with Hot Glue you have a few seconds to adjust, wiggle, bend, slide and get the join just the way you want it before the glue cools down and setts. Super glue sets almost instantly, so you don't have that adjustment time, but it'd definitely work :D Good luck and happy building. Ps. thanks for watching and commenting.

You saved my life 😂
Don’t mention it, I’m glad you found my video helpful 😊👍
Don’t mention it, I’m glad you found my video helpful 😊👍
did it produce sound?
1000 Subscribers 👏👏👏👊🎨😺
Thanks man, pretty stoked 😊
so easy 😩👌
Did those two stips make 1 horn or 2??
+Emi Nanase sorry for the late reply, the one strip is rolled up then cut in half and along the length of the marker it's rolled up on, this then gives you 2 sets of concentric rings. each set makes one horn. Hope that helps, check the video description for more info. Thanks for watching and happy making
how long and wide do they have to be
+Nadia Saldivar I made my strip about 30 inches long, but you can experiment the longer it is the more segments you'll end up with. In the video the strip is 4 inches wide this will then be divided by 2 when you cut it, so mark a line running along the middle of your 4 inch strip. Thanks for watching Nadia and Happy making. Ps this is the first comment I've gotten on my RUclips channel! go Nadia you win :D and double thanks
omg THANK YOU SO MUCH
+Nathaniel Solis you're most welcome. :D
I tried this before😅and they ended up so heavy that they fell off the second I moved😅

Dahrwc t3
way less cardboard can be used and get the same size, that is a huge waste.
