That was an interesting breakdown of why a mullet head works. I had thought the same thing, that fish must occasionally see mullet heads floating past. I caught 30 and 34 inch redfish on mullet heads a couple months ago at an inlet in northwest florida.
I live in Arizona, but I come to St. Pete a couple times a year to fish. I’ll be back out in July! Your videos are my fix until I get back on the water.

Senko. I would say that Tranx is better (at least in the first year or two), Komodo and Lexa are pretty comparable. The Revo Toro Beast is cheaply made compared to the rest. Tackle Advisors did a video where he compared the Lexa, the Tranx and the Revo Toro Beast. Later he reviewed the Komodo and compared it to the three. Look up Tackle advisors video because it’s very informative!

The Kastking Spartacus Maximus Metal has 25# max drag and has 10+1 ball bearings for 1/2 to 1/3 of the price of the Komodo. Just a thought.
Joshua Borchardt the bearings in that reel are not even comparable to the bearings in the Komodo. The amount of bearings doesn’t matter, what matters is where they are and how good they are. The reel you’re mentioning doesn’t have good enough drag stack and not good enough gear to handle 25# drag. The Komodo is just a much better reel. KastKing sells their reels by marketing the amount of bearings and amount of drag. What really matters is how they choose to stabilize certain stuff and how good gears they put in.

Andre Simon it’s an Okuma Komodo. It does come in left hand retrive. Very good reel but not a far caster. Comparable reels are Daiwa Lexa, Shimano Tranx, Abu Garcia Revo Toro Beast (the worst out of the bunch) and 13 Fishing Concept A3.
The old mullet head on the bottom, I’ve always stressed to people that it works but could never really give an explanation as to why ... thanks for the clarification ✌🏻
