I think that the Chinese tradition of planting on hillsides is such a wonderful way to avoid standing water after heavy rains, and the way they make small plateaus to catch topsoil is genius. Yet in America, with all of it's mountains and hills, we don't do that. We plant on flat ground for the most part, with poor results in heavy rains.

We here in the Southeast States will be good down below normal temperatures and much above normal rain fall.
We need the rain, many of us are in drought conditions.
I prefer for it to rain though when I’m not awake, I like dry sunny weather it’s the best.

We always need rain on earth. But we do not need 8 to 10 inches of rain in 10 days! Flooding can be destructive too.
I'm concerned about this much rain. We have crops just dying because of no rain, and now they'll drown with that much rain in a short amount of time.
This has always been the farmer's plight, too much or too little.
