So they would be dumb no not feature her in S2, specially given the fact that he characters appears in the animated series.
I was so happy with her as the choice for Suki. Even in the animation, Suki is ridiculously pretty and likeable and she channeled that. The touches to make her awkward in the live action were really good.

I’m honestly still amazed by Maria’s performance as Suki. Strong and badass, beautiful yet vulnerable, like how Miranda Otto portrayed Eowyn in Lord Of The Rings. Seriously, Maria was that👏🏻good👏🏻, and I can’t wait to see her portray Suki again in Season 2 and 3. Especially Season 3, because of the Boiling Rock and some of her romantic, adorable, comedic moments with Sokka.
It's crazy that this was her first major project too, I never would of guessed that before looking it up and she will only get better with more experience too! Us Suki fans got a lot to look forward to! Thanks for watching! 🙌

loved the actor of Suki she fits the role so well! And I can't believe she is not one of the cast of The Avatar because, in the original series of the Avatar, she teamed up with Team Avatar and should be part of the main cast and so many others.

Pat, you should have asked Maria about how it was working with Tamilyn Tomita, an actress, in my opinion, is grossly underrated and deserves the same recognition as the like of Michelle Yeoh. and Ming Na. After all, we're talking about an actress who's been active since the '80s making her debut in The Karate Kids Part II and later the Joy Luck Club. one of, if not the first, major Hollywood productions featuring a predominantly Asian cast.

I’m commenting this in every video of her I come across. She is one of the most genuinely kind people I’ve ever met. I met her at an expo and usually with those meet and greets they just say hi sign pic and go. But she took the time to have conversations with everyone and get to know people. That goes a long way. She deserves this type of exposure. Wish nothing but the best for her moving forward. One thing I’d be wary of is to not catch feels if you ever meet her haha. She’ll quickly capture you with her beauty and personality. Fair warning ‼️ 😂

It's probably where initially she only had a small roll but then kept getting brought back to the great fan response. I'm hoping we get even more of her for the live action in these next 2 seasons
I remembered somewhere that said her parents both learned English when they met in college to communicate with one another so I don't think her parents would have a 'clean' American accent. Accent is not easy to shake off especially when you're older. But who knows, maybe her parents do speak in American English accent to her.

Chinese culture would dominate those islands. And soon they form their colonies and culture. And when the Manchus takeover China, their islands would have different customs. Which are Han Chinese customs. Never Manchu style customs like what happened irl China. Because all the men had a mandatory hairstyle and customs to follow. And the settled Han Chinese would have to remain in Avatar islands. Call the islands Fusang. After a utopia myth. Maybe it would help explain these islands have a dominant East Asian demographics by the time the Europeans settlers in these islands. And why they differ from the continental Chinese
@@PopCultureWithPat the funny thing is that people took it seriously which almost made people immediately dismiss the new live action, but the high school rumor got squashed by the news of the OG creators leading it and the whole high school thing got forgotten.
She really looked like a great sukiand had the character nailed spot on. But the changes in the writing didn t do her good. The suki from the live action feels shallower. I hope the writers can correct that and give her her decent place back in the next seasons. Otherwise it will be a waste of a great cast for the character.
The Kyoshi Warriors episode is the second worst episode, and the first is Omashu. What made me angry is how they made Bumi into a bitter old character. Well he is old, but you get the point. I think the producers showed Suki's face early on that episode because we will not be seeing her anymore. Good riddance. Not to the actress, but to the badly written characters on this show. What a let down. No wonder Michael Dante DiMartino and Bryan Konietzko left. We should really stop these Live -actionification of everything all at once. Today was a big day for her. Avatar was renewed not just for Season 2 but also Season 3 so we’ll be seeing a lot more of her, especially in Season 3.

I think the producers showed Suki's face early on that episode because we will not be seeing her anymore. Good riddance. Not to the actress, but to the badly written characters on this show. What a let down.
No wonder Michael Dante DiMartino and Bryan Konietzko left. We should really stop these Live -actionification of everything all at once. Like right now.

You should probably ask her who her favorite is in the live action(brings attention to the new show and opens up a possible story). And then a lot of your questions were quite similar and generic. And you have too much of a normal conversation with the guest. Needs to feel more professional, still comfortable, but professional. Cheers! All constructive criticism, no hate here.
