Cowboys aren’t drafting a quarterback when they’re already paying the third string quarterback, that will never see the field, $4 million per year. And just throwing away our cat money. When we could use that 4 million per year to pay Dak. Because Dak is getting 0:01 50, million per year, whether you like it or not.
Our first round pick last year, the defensive tackle, he did absolutely nothing. I forgot he was even on the team.
Why do we keep talking about the cowboys. I’m a fan and even I’m tired of it. 😅

I'm with Dave all the way on this. Shore up the offensive line and make their future decisions from there. Bringing in a young quarterback or running back without fixing the line is pointless. Trey Lance won't ask for a ton of money so worst-case scenario, Dak leaves and they move forward with Trey until they get a replacement in the future.

They had a fire him after only one year cause Texans and I call my friends and I would ask them. What would you do with this situation. And I will tell him you know it it third down and eight and blah blah blah. Different plays that that this coach did that made no sense. Even the commentators were like man what is this dude thinking. I would tell my friends what he did instead and people couldn’t believe how dumb his coach was. I mean, you have to be absolutely horrendous to get fired in your first year in the NFL as a coach.

1st round can be spent on a C and G no problem. Pittsburgh did it not long ago. There are no real 1st round lb, no rb, maybe 1 DT this year so interior lineman or tackle are where to go in 1st round.

Draft a QB but don’t do it in the 1st round. Simple. High reward low risk kinda thing. Spend a 3rd or 5th on it. Get the positions you need filled out for this season and then go into the extras

Who's better at their positions: Quarterback Dak Prescott or General Manager Jerry Jones? Whoever is not the answer should go.
They have 2 o-line (Bass n Hoffman) that can compete for either G or C. Realistically you need 1 starter and at least a back up T. Can u draft 2 starters, sure. But you don’t need LB. You can find an RB 3rd and later. Let the coaches coach. And here’s a question about paying players. How has that worked out w paying Dak? With paying Zeke (and insert any other high priced RB or QB). Brady took pay cuts to win championships. Period. Mahomes is only one to do it. Allen didn’t do it, and they’re in cap trouble. Dallas is looking to get off the rollercoaster. Can’t fault them cuz paying Dak ain’t getting it done. Move on.

If a good QB is there then they should. Why do we not understand how the market is. If they won’t pay Dak then looking for a replacement should always be on the assignment
But that’s more reason to wait this year simply to see what you have in lance. If he sucks then chances are you have a high pick to pick a qb the following year and if he’s good then you have him for dirt cheap.
Rodgers when Young was drafted; TB12 when Jimmy G was drafted.

Why don't they get rid of Micah and lamb and get their two number one picks from each of them plus a lower pick and then get rid of the dak. You're looking at like 5 number one picks and two or three other pics thrown in the mix plus not having to be burdened by the big contracts coming up
Can’t get rid of both, gotta keep Lamb. But Micah would fetch 3 first rounders or at minimum 2 first and a second. Love Micah, but i’d trade him for a first rounder QB (use picks to move up) and rebuild with a new QB. Only reason im saying trade Micah is because Cowboys literally don’t have cap space to sign Micah, Lamb and Dak.
Dak can play on final year of contract and the new QB would have a year to learn.

@@godofhammers6975 ...I been a fan since 81. I saw a RB named Emmitt Smith and a #1 DEF win 3 Super Bowls. Troy Aikman was a good QB but he get's too much credit. Emmitt Smith is the ALL TIME LEADING RUSHER. Troy Aikman STATISTICALLY is not even a TOP 200 QB. Aikman never threw 30 TDS and he has had (2) seasons where he had more INTS than TDS. Prescott and Romo were and are more talented passers. Jerry Jones forgot how he won those Championships and that's with defense and running.

It seems to me, the smart move, if you don’t think Dak is the guy in the playoffs, then Dak-proof the team for a playoff run. You have elite defensive talent in Parsons, Diggs, Gilmore, maybe Bland, and D Law. So try to go get quality talent at safety and LB. Draft a first round OL talent (move Tyler to LT, and Steele should be better at RT next season), then draft a workhorse RB, and take a shot at a quality WR since this draft is chock full of them. Dak can get you to the #1 seed, especially if the defense performs as expected. Then lean heavily on your run game and let Dak be special in spots. He’s shown flashes of playoff brilliance, so he isn’t the scrub some folks make him out to be but you can;t put it all on his shoulders. Seems pretty simple to me.
Dak Prescott has been in the league for 8 years and still can’t get his team past the divisional round

First, I’ll say this it’s surprises me that Dave Acho and y’all either played or cover sports for a living and you’re so far in the forest you can’t see the trees.
firstly they traded for Lance. Despite what anyone thinks about Lance He really wasn’t given a fair shot. He beat out Brock Purdy, who’s been balling and Jimmy Garoppolo. Then he got injured. the Cowboys traded for him. He’s rode the bench all last year and he’s probably going to ride the bench all this year. That is your first round quarterback, riding the bench and learning. I don’t think they would driaft a quarterback and I don’t think Prescott is the answer. I’m all for drafting a quarterback, but I’m looking at what they’ve done and what does it mean. I’ll say this for the millionth time don’t pay attention to what they say. Pay attention to what they do. a lot of y’all might not believe in Trey, but it doesn’t matter what we believe. It only matters what Jerry and Steven think… remember they evaluated Lance during the draft. Jerry even alluded to that when he was speaking about trading for Trey Lance and not discussing it with anyone.
Tbh it seems like the writing on the wall. Some of you just don’t like what it says.

It's not crazy at all. Teams should take a QB somwhere in the draft every year. We need to move on from Dak and finally draft a QB in the first round which is something we have not done since 1989.

Dak needs a RB to win playoff games. Go check Zeke's post season stats...he was only there 2-3 times with 100 YDS. Pollard was NEVER there in his 2 appearances.

Will they wait? Then next year trade Dak, CEE Dee and Micah? That should net them about 15 picks over the following two years. Out of those you should get 5 great players, then 6 years from now do it again with 5 players rather than 3. Seems like a great way to accrue great talent while beating the draft and keeping your team young and fast
