Wow so much goes into blood work. Thank you for sharing!
That place is a Vampires Dream
@Davion Dalvyn what the hell
@Covid 19 yes
co corona co co corona co co co corona co co coronaaaaaaaaaaaaa
I guess im asking randomly but does any of you know of a tool to get back into an Instagram account..?
I was dumb forgot the password. I would love any tricks you can give me!
@Preston Hunter Instablaster :)
Thanks this is so interesting! I've had my blood taken all the time my whole life and I never knew exactly what happened
They're taking too much. That's why they don't show exactly how much of it is tested. Doesn't take an entire tube.
This is so facinating! Now I know why it takes about a few days or weeks to receive back results. Every details in the blood samples counts.
Who else is watching this while waiting in the clinic ?? !!!
Mohammad Al-Shamsi boy you ugly af
@@GannicusMisteriosdeHonduras That could just be a random person...
@@GannicusMisteriosdeHonduras Atleast he doesnt look like an asshole like some ppl.. *hint hint* Also, i dont find anything ugly about his pic wtf is wrong with u?
I done mines 20 minutes ago
Mohammad Al-Shamsi I got my blood test done yesterday
Wow! So much work😍 what a great vid!!
I need one of those tube thing for the laundry lol
A blood draw can be a little bit scary but it’s OK to learn about your health and know about it be brave and wait for work blood results
It’s ok to be scared ❤😊
You missed the step where the sample goblin drinks half the blood vial and you get a message back that the volume was insufficient.
LMAO
😂😂😂
Wow! Thanks for the video! To a lay person, like me, this is rather overwhelming! Please carry on!
wasn't overwhelming at all. was very clear and thorough.
I came to know how blood test work but now I'm more interested in how that tube system works
Vaccum bruh
There's a lot of other steps missing. How do patients know how much of the blood is actually being used?
Exactly and she never explains what is done with remaining blood if any. Is it discarded??
@@lgstar3363 I'm a MLS in a hospital lab. We store the remaining sample for 3, 7, or 30 days depending on the tube type. Other hospitals may use slightly different policies on storage times, but we all store at minimum according to regulatory/accrediting body requirements. That time allows for us to perform additional testing in case the doctor orders more tests after the initial tests are run. After that the tubes are discarded in biohazard waste which is ultimately incinerated.
What about place where they melt it to the labs how do they package it you package it so it doesn't go bad depend depending how how the weather is in those areas
How much is the machine that does the results?
OK that's part one of a blood sample where's part two? the technologist? and it's disposal? or does it just sit around collecting dust at the technologist lab for eternity?
Right? We're asking "hey how is the blood work tested? " and they replied with "yes, someone receives it then sends it somewhere"
How did you do that scientifics
I am currently training to be a medical technologist, and I love my job.
Still doesn’t make sense why do they need 3-4 tubes
More tests are run on more tubes. For example, PTINR can only be run in blue tubes and CBC only on lavender tubes.
Why is the blood archived ?
cool n all but i want to see what's happening during the "appropriate testing"
This is a great video, I would love to know how the tester actually works. I can understand why Thernos was trying to make it smaller lol
can i use this in a song? ^^
I wanna hear this
?
Did you use?
This could have been a shorter video by just saying "We ship it upstairs and they stick it in a machine"
No kidding. This told me nothing about how blood is tested, it just told you where it goes.
Thanks.
not if you're a biomed student haha
Right!?🙄@@mitchellspindell589
do they clean the tube thats used to transport the samples.
Yes they clean each tube. Normally with bleach wipes or super sanitary cloths.
A Buffet for a Vampire
WHAT DOES SINK TESTING MEAN.
Lab Technicians/technologists once performed these tests instead of machines. More blood was needed when individuals went to school to perform the test, I don't know why so much is still collected. Yes, some samples have substances added for different test but...
You push a button and.... what do the machines do?
Is it possible that they mix up different tests of different people? Or interchange them by error?
They have barcodes so its extremely unlikely
@@farmerjoe8508 ooh makes sense! Thank you
If tubes are mixed up, it is most likely a result of what we call pre-analytical error (an error whose root cause occurred before actual testing). Particularly clerical error (mislabeled specimen) or the person drawing the blood failed to positively identify the patient at the time of collection.
Hi dear please to inform Gp how blood test take
I hate having blood work done on me. Or anyone around me. Why couldn't we just get a shot on our shoulder and get a little blood taken out at a time?
ita not thT Bd dude
Ikr!! For me its not about the pain its more about the fact that its taken out from such a sensitive place😖 it makes me cringe
I have a scar on my brain and i haded a genetic blood test and the people screwed up and i haded to get it re done
You haded?
Xan Thrax yes haded. The past tense of the past tense of had.
Jessie Zhou No. Haded
Mr Xtruction u Bein fr?
Mr Xtruction had is the past tense of have so how did you, “Haded”?
What do you do with the blood after the testing is done?
Get rid of it or they can legally use it for testing if they want… technically it’s not considered yours once it leaves your body.
@@sierraorr8213who would want the blood sample back anyways🤣
donate it to third world like old T-shirts
@@sierraorr8213 We store it in case the doctor decides they want to add on more tests to the specimen. Depending on the tube type, they are stable for x days after which they are tossed in biohazard waste to be incinerated.
Difference from here is most of the stuff has to do manually
This dnt aswer my full qustion how is the Biohazard waste material disposed of of locked away in a DNA n blood bank lol ?
Was that windows XP? My childhood bestie
Im getting blood drawn out in 12days, again, I hope I wont get deeezzyhyyy again
Ugh I almost passed out once
You should be a phlebotomist
I get my blood test done tomorrow morning. I’ll edit this comment when I find out the results. So wish me luck :)
I almost said ouch😱O M G
I threw up
that's why the blood bank always have blood
What happened to blood on miscarriage?
Why are you not describing the actual testing? This video is incomplete.
This is my job :)
I just got my first blood test today
how was it?
Imma do mine i think today and im nervous ahaha
@@j.m6334 its not that bad tbh. just try looking away.
@@veesuavee yeah i mean i perfer to look at it but at the same time i dont wanna ahah i mean i just hate when they bring out the tray with the needle bc that shit gets me nervous asf
Well what if the person doesn't want you given their DNA away by law if they don't ok this then I think it should be a crime.
Paddington
See Easy
They don't need all that blood
Ah… the vampire den
Do doctors check for nicotine in the blood
They smell your breath
Good cause i tought they stole my useless blood!
Maxine Ambwratch morphinsoe
SPECIMENS!!!!!!!!!!!!?
Ugh you spent more time on the tubes that send the blood samples then the actual machines that interact with the blood… for example “how long does the first machine take to analyze the blood?”
So basically you don’t do anything
I pray everybody result come back negative in the name of Jesus
May vampire work here?
That's why healthcare is so expensive! That system is unnecessarily over designed. I guess a person can't walk those samples upstairs cuz I they could drop them damage them or whatever but you telling me that's the only way to get the sample upstairs wtf
Actually the pneumatic tube system isn't why it's so expensive. The lab don't get one specimen. Just from the ER they get specimens from every floor in the hospital. They get hundreds of specimens down daily. Hundreds of different patients. So in one sample bag they can have 15 to 30 test that may include up to 4 to 10 tubes. And each patient gets their own bag. so if a nurse collects seven patients. you add all the tubes and tests collected that nurse can't walk down every tube she draws. Especially depending on the size of the hospital. I work in a hospital where it took 7 minutes from the lab to the ER. By foot.
