  • The Carolina rig has been a bass fishing staple for many, many years. It involves a weight and swivel above another section of line with the hook. The weight is dragged around with the hook and soft plastic bait on the back. It is a simple concept but listen to John Crews, veteran pro angler, explain all the basics on how to fish the Carolina rig for catching bass. Watch him execute what he is teaching!

    After Buddy Gross won on the Harris Chain yesterday 2.20.22 I want to try the CR rig. Without a doubt, the most info on You tube. Good luck and keep teaching .

    I fish Toledo Bend a couple few times a week and a Carolina rig is on my deck year around. I've become a huge fan of the ol super fluke but I recently decided to make the jump to sunline shooter and can't believe I waited this long to give up my p-line cx premium grade. The sensitivity is freakin insane with fluorocarbon and is worth every penny... recently subbed and been running through your videos keepem coming brother!!!

    Nothing better than a how to video with plenty of hooksets and tips.👍👍👍👍 Hey John have you ever used braid? I’ve been studying up on C-rig tips and it seems like the genuine old school is floro, yet there’s plenty using braid. I’m trying to make an informed decision about changing to braid,but no one gives to benefits of either. Thanks in advance 🙏

    When you throw the C-Rig out, do you immediately start pulling extra line off your reel to allow the C-Rig to have a straight fall to the bottom & to keep the C-Rig from Pendaling back?

      @@JohnCrews I usually fish a lizard or worm.
      I have a few creature baits, but don't know much how to fish them. Can you do a video on that?

    JC, I avoid the ball and change because I'm afraid of gut hooking the fish. Is there anyway I can use this technic and avoid gut hitting them?

    • @JohnCrews
      @JohnCrews  3 года назад +1

      That usually comes from not setting the hook soon enough. That fluoro helps feel the bites
