We all love trout fishing in Tas. It's hard to go past Greg French as an authority on Tasmanian trout, perhaps get a copy of 'Wild Heart of Tasmania' and sit down with a coffee to read it one day, Steve.
Great job Starlo haven’t fished there for years but your excellent video was just like being there .They are certainly very well educated fish that’s for sure.
great video Steve, you and jo wouldve loved Lake Meadowbank in it's hey day with it's Caenid Feeders. A quirky thing in Tasmania, northerners, Tasmanian who live north of a line between Swansea and Queenstown, pronounce Caenid as" Seenid" us southerners pronounce them as "Kay nid" :)
I believe the south Australian trout are by far the hardest, a couple of small overfished creeks in the hills is all we have so it’s a one in a million chance to catch them

It sure is.
Great vid as always mate! Some nice drone shots and camera work in there too. :)
Glad you enjoyed it!
I enjoy your videos and look forward to the next release. Particularly enjoyed the one on Pejar being a Goulburn local.
Good stuff! Glad you're liking them.

Yes, I always used to call them “Kay-nids”, but figured Daniel knows best. Potato, pot-ah-toe, Tom-a-toe, tomato… Boags, Cascade… 🤣
Ye, my uncle just used to call them"smut" :)
That is a lovely location. Challenging fly fishing=greatest reward (my view).
Couldn't agree more!

Fair point!
