Interview with Johannes Persson from Cult of Luna shortly before a show in Roxy club Prague/CZE, late March 2023. We spoke about a current European tour, support bands, ideal soundtracks for hiking and gym as well as some recommendations from Steven Wilson. Toto interview milujem! Je príjemné počúvať Johannesa hovoriť pre zmenu o osobnejších témach. CoL ma sprevádzajú už dobrých 15 rokov a poznám len málo kapiel, ktoré si držia takú kvalitu po dlhé roky. Povedala by som, že sa dokonca prekonávajú. A to platí aj pre live koncerty. Od môjho "poprvé" v 2008, kedy hrali ešte v mini hale vo viedenskej Arene, až po tours a live showky pre veľké publikum posledných rokov s perfektným zvukom a svetelnými efektami dotiahnuté do posledného detailu. Sedí im to aj indoor ale aj na festivale, ako som mala to šťastie na Brutale. Speaking of which, už sa neviem dočkať toho tohtoročného. Cultík je, pre mňa, jedna z najemotívnejších hudieb a dlhoročná láska. Vďaka za skvelé videjko.

Brilliant, brilliant interview. The conversation felt natural and relaxed, the questions were excellent, editing and b-roll was top class. Johannes was a "good get" as I know he's notoriously pretty camera shy, but you made the most of it and did him, the band and this interview justice. Hat tip to you, sir. Thanks for this! Definitely best interview I've seen with Cult of Luna / Johannes ever, and absolutely up there with all the best metal interviews I've seen. Please do more of these.

This may sound like a dumb question for any who may find this, but around 9:25 the interviewer is describing almost exactly my experience with this band too. I have the same feelings toward Amenra as well, however he also mentions Alter Breaker. I've not heard of these and can't find them on Spotify or with a quick Google search. Am I missing something or messing up my spelling perhaps?

Bohužel jsem je nestihl v březnu, ale včera na BA, i přes technické problémy, byli naprosto nepřekonatelní.
Je zábavné vidět a slyšet ho jako milého a usměvavého sympaťáka po tom co poslední vzpomínku na něj máte jako na "do kytary mlátící a řvoucí bestii" na pódiu.
