I agree with G. I said the same thing, Matias let him shoot his load. The announcers completely missed it and was saying how "effective" Ergashev was. I saw the mental pressure and he caved and quit.

This man is probably the best person to listen to on youtube. Rarely if ever shows bias, speaks the truth and respects the craft and fighters even when they are different than what he might prefer
Notice how he mentioned the science with Matias when most folks act like this man is just a slugger with no boxing IQ. Ergashev can fkn crack. This is what makes it difficult for me to see him losing against someone like Haney just because Haney doesn't have the power to keep him off. NOW, Haney could use his boxing skills, IQ and legs, but the motor that Matias has means, he is ok pacing himself, chasing you until you might start to get tired because you been running all fight long
Matias and Benavidez are one and the same. Both can take a punch like a mf and both just keep coming. Look, boo boo is a slick boxer but Benavidez just wore him down man. Now if Haney does beat him, major props to him cause to me you can't just label Matias as some "flat footed" fighter. The MENTAL aspect of what he brings is a big advantage for him vs other boxers that are more skilled

I may be waaaaay off with this, but I wouldn't doubt if Tank stepped to 140lb to fight Matias in 2024- at the mid or end, especially if he doesn't get any other bigger fights, like Haney or Shakur at 135lb..... The reason why I say this is because their, Tank and Matias, styles make it a very dangerous and entertaining fight, wayyyy better than an Issac Cruz fight, yet with some similarities....
