Hi. These injectors are very expensive. Would an injector clean have been worth a try or were they beyond that? I have this engine in my Jeep and so far it has been great. I always use a Diesel additive to help keep the injectors clean.

@@KITS_Auto_and_Truck_Repair ah ok. I’m having issues with one of mine. It’s a 2005 dodge sprinter 2500 2.7L with roughly 294k miles on the engine.. there’s white smoke coming out when it’s running. It’s missing the diesel particulate filter and muffler so I’m not sure if that’s also why it’s smoking badly (that’s how I purchased it). Compression on the cylinders is 230, 305, 300, 115, and 280 (Cylinders 1-5 respectively). My small scanner says there’s a misfire on Cylinder 4. Which also happens to be the cylinder with the injector knock and the lowest compression. The engine has a lot of blowby. The oil cap will get blown off if I un-tighten it and oil will erupt over. Given your expertise, what would you recommend doing with this vehicle?

@@berniemac8413 It sounds like you have a mechanical problem on that engine, you need to figure out why the other cylinder in low on compression!

The injector ID (code) defines its characteristics, such as coil impedance and flow rate. The engine computer needs theses to precisely time individual injector activations. These codes are not unique location identifiers (like a TPMS system sensor) and it is quite possible for them all to be the same.

I have question have you ever used dpf cleaner call "launch uk , DPF gun particulate filter cleaning fluid" and the spray gun, O'Riley auto from the UK adds a of the detergent with half of water and sprays it into the dpf filter then he reset the computer and it runs good as new. Thanks.here is a link to his jimmy. See for yourself.

Natasha Lewis Sure! do you have a multiple cylinder misfire or a specific cylinder misfire? you need to check your ignition coil wiring and your injector wiring, I have a lot of videos on this channel that can show you how to do that! also check for compression to eliminate any mechanical issues that might cause a misfire!

    • @NatashaLewis-bk3vx

@kdiagnostics6040 multiple misfire, I was told it could be the Mas air flow sensor ,but I can't find any try it. It's a new wire loom so I was wondering if I don't need to check the wiring again.
