Hi Roy, your spot on Carol Reed did indeed direct Oliver from 1968 👌 On The Up rings a bell 🧐 nice of Larry once again. Domino is a fun watch, Kiera Knightley with short hair 🥰 The Negotiator is a cool one, as far as I’m aware Spacey has not been found guilty of any charges to date 🤔 nice one Roy, take care mate 👍😃👍
Hi Alan. You've sold me on Domino 😆 I watched Payroll yesterday. What a fantastic film. It reminded me very much of an English Killing the Kubrick film. Quite dark and gritty. Thanks 👍 mate
Hi Roy you are so welcome enjoy. Think you and the channel are fantastic. Some fantastic films there Domino I remember enjoying I haven’t seen it for so long though. take care
Awesome stuff Roy 😀🍿🎸🎶 I still like to check out ‘The Negotiator’ 😀👍 ‘Memories Of Murder’ is fantastic; I would get the 4K at some point; I got it in the Bong Joon-Ho set which has ‘Barking Dogs’ in there aswell; very solid debut film 😀
Great video Roy, The Negotiator is such a good film, well worth having. Payroll looks a good one, looking forward to your watch video for that one. I have Memories of murder, excellent movie and maybe my favourite of the director, i also have Barking dogs but have never watched it. They both have a slip box but very flimsy .
Hello Mark. Thanks very much. I will watch Payroll pretty soon. Looking forward to that one. I gathered the Korean films was missing something but can't complain for what I paid.
Some great pickups there Roy! I was lucky enough to catch The Promised Land at the cinema a couple months ago and I thought it was fantastic. Harsh film, but very moving and Mads is of course excellent as usual. One I'll be picking up myself before long. Great gift! Absolutely love Memories of Murder, my favourite Bong Joon Ho film and maybe my favourite serial killer film ever. Barking Dogs Never Bite is a great as well, with a young Bae Doona in that one.
Hello Warren, thanks. I've been reading up about The Promised land and it does look right up my street. Sleeping dogs I'm looking forward to as well. Think I'll have seen most of his filmography after that.
Hi Roy. Just picked up The Promised Land, but not seen it yet. At the same time i got The Settlers[2023], which i have watched. It's an at times unsettling drama concerning the genocide of the people inhabiting early 20th century Patagonian Chile; a tough but compelling watch with some marvellous photography of the harsh landscape. Payroll has long been a favourite heist film of mine. I know it's set, and largely filmed around Newcastle; didn't realise they'd used Rugby as well. The director, Sidney Hayers is responsible for a number of good British crime thrillers. Three others well worth watching - Assault, and Revenge[both 1971], and All Coppers Are...[1972].👍
@@roybarratt5609 That's right Roy, the attacks in Assault do take place in woods. I think it takes inspiration from the Giallos which were reaching the height of popularity at the time.👍
Payroll sounds an interesting one to me. Sidney Hayers not the greatest of directors but he has still done a few I like and Billie Whitelaw is usually good to watch
Hi roy cracking films and great subscriber mail and really enjoyed the video😅😅😅😅😅
Thanks 👍 John
Nice pick ups Roy, always enjoy watching your content mate 👍🏻
Hey Ash thanks very much 😀 nice comments make it a pleasure

Hi Tony we will have to compare notes on The Promised Land. I think I've seen The Assault. Is it about a serial rapist in some woods?

@tonyyork46 it's coming back to me now Tony. I watched it and traded it in for silly money in cex I think.
Nice pick-ups Roy 👌 👍
Thanks Matt 👍 😊
