Varsho has been making a ton of epic catches lately, he totally deserves a gold glove.

Blue Jays looked completely lost at the plate and then Gregory Soto has one of the worst meltdowns I've seen from a supposed "high leverage" reliever.

I really hate Brandon Hyde sometimes. He leans way to much into matchups. Smith gives up a hit, he brings in the WRONG lefty and Soto gives up 4 runs, than in the top of the 8th with the bases loaded he pulls Jackson Holliday who had a GRAND SLAM just last week for Austin Slater, and later in that same inning pulls Cowser who was on a 17 game hitting streak for Coby Mayo, who struck out. Just stupid plain and simple

I'm a Braves fan, but I love watching both the Jays and the Orioles. Wish Bo was back healthy and hammering again. I expect he'll bounce back in '25.
When O's fans look back at the decision to trade for Gregory Soto from Philly, one has to wonder if that was a mistake.
Since obtaining him, Soto has played in 3 games, but has an ERA of 54.00, and I wished it WASN'T a typo there. In two of his three appearances, he's given up 4 runs in both those appearances. That HR was a massive momentum changer right there as Baltimore could not record that last out in the 6th.
2 singles, 1 HR, 2 doubles, IBB, a passed ball, double steal...it was chaos in the 6th and the Blue Jays took full advantage of it.
Between the Gregory meltdown and only scoring one run with the bases loaded and no outs in the 8th, which is more painful to look at for Baltimore?

Kirk is soo undervalued
Not by me. He has more career extra base hits against the Yankees (19) than the rest of the AL East combined (15). Seems to do good work behind the dish too.
Slow, can't throw runners out, and his lack of proper conditioning suggetss a selfish player surfing on talent. Imagine if he worked out!

@@JoelOswald Hitting the most home runs doesn't mean that some pitchers haven't figured them out. Remember when Brady Anderson hit 50 home runs. He also had a high strike out ratio. Pitchers do not throw the Orioles a lot of fast balls now. They get them out swinging at breaking balls, and bad pitches and the Orioles chase them. And the Red Sox passing them was sarcasm.

Has a Os fan as far back as the 60’s I think this game was mismanaged big time. Suarez gives up 2 stinking hits with a pitch count about 78 and you pull him and bring in Soto? A guy who has basically been a disaster since coming over. Then you pull Cowser one of the hottest hitters on the team for the kid Mayo who just came up and frankly looks a tad lost at the plate so far. In my mind those two moves cost us the ballgame. Look I love Hyde but sometimes he needs to let things play out. Just saying

Hyde lost this game. So many bad moves. Soto immediately surpassed Kimbrel in the 'most nerve wracking pitcher on the mound' category. If Hyde wants to build Soto back up, it has to be done with a 6+ run lead. Why pull Suarez, then Burch whilst both were pitching fine, and bring in Soto in a 1 run game. The dudes confidence is completely gone..
