with hindsight it really doesnt matter since they only need to win 2 games, expect TS vs GenG to try stuff out since its basically non bearing match except for points and they probably want to hide strats before single elims playoffs so their hardest game was vs GE and BLD on same week when they just changed their roster and with 2GE and Wild0reoo debuting not knowing if they'll translate in Tier1 and real games also them having 2 games in 1st week was kinda bad since on that patch Breeze was still in the pool while Haven not yet, which is very big for TS since they're bad on Breeze and really good on Haven
@@SplinxSyncs not literally but situationally TS cant get 2nd anyway since they 100% lose to tiebreakers vs Talon, RRQ and DRX (if im not mistaken) expect TS and GenG match this week to be them experimenting or trying out stuffs BECAUSE both teams definitely dont want to show strats for PLAYOFFS
I love to see the GenG vs Team Secret match. I want to know if TS really have a chance to play with the current top teams in pacific. Not too sure where they are exactly in the rankings, but I have high hopes with this team (oh no I'm believing, this is definitely gonna bite me soon) This is the first time I was actually impressed with Bleed even when they lost to GenG. They put up a really good fight. The amount of fake comebacks happening this year is crazy, but this one was a gold mine despite of that. We can FINALLY see the Jemkin vs something match after so long since the start of season (5 months???). Should be an interesting match. ZETA in terms of firepower should still clear GE and Bleed but as a team, they are really disappointing. When they played TS on Icebox 4 MONTHS AGO, you would think they would fix their calls... BUT NO! 0-13 on icebox last week was the final straw.
I believe TS has a chance to beat GENG based on how GENG is playing right now (almost lost to BLEED out of all teams) but who knows maybe TS will choke again 🤷♂️
as far as i know, nothing has been decided so far. previously in stage 1 playoffs when you look at vlr. they tell you which team will go which slot. but this time there's nothing in there. the same thing for liquipedia.
bro, i think TS is the G2 version of the pacific, so much similarity, they are not playing flashy valorant, they just play a good discipline valorant, they have fragging IGL, and the community underestimating them in their own region, i love if these two can meet up in champs, but my heart want RRQ to go...
No matter how much I love DFM, even games that they win, it feels like they’re the worse team. Not sure if it’s because of the calling or the overall firepower. It really feels like Meiy is the only top tier player on that team right now.
People always rate PRX high and they always show that they just can't finish. That's THE only consistent thing about the team. Betting on them is like betting the house on black.
Here's the deal: GenG is likely gonna sweep Stage 2 groups, 99%. What's more interesting, given their win in Shanghai Masters, there is a 99% chance for GenG to guarantee Champions by points, regardless of whatever happens in playoffs. (I believe there won't be championship points at stake for the Stage 2 playoffs.)
PRX is a monster in Pacific but terrible in international. Its a curse, the amount of expectation is too much, i think they become too confident that they swinging and dueling left and right when in Shanghai
Very good point, I will say though that Breeze was BY FAR GenG’s best map, so questions up in the air on their map pool till we see them on Abyss. PRX haven still looks historically not good, but they were playing a borderline troll comp.
Prx always had map pool trouble, the only best map pool for them actually last year champs which they had a chance to win against eg last year but they play 1st time comp that cost them a win
So with how the week played out for Pacific, TS is officially fucked as you or someone on PlatChat predicted. If they lose a single map to GenG in the last game they're guaranteed to play GenG again in the single elim. Other playoff teams are playing ZETA or DFM so we can say that they kinda get off easy in the last week.
That's a lot of recency bias when talking about a GOAT. To be a goat you need to be good for more than one year. Look at PRX, out of 10 internationals made they have finished top 4 in 7 of them.
@@jackalcrackle Nobody remembers teams for finishing top four. Not even if it’s every year. They remember teams for winning trophies. This applies to all sports not just Valorant. Check yourself on who’s biased.
@@traderjoe6454 for one, liking you own comment doesn't help emphasise the point or help when talking about bias. For two, when speaking of consistency, performing well is reflective of that. A comparison would be a team in a sport consistently finishing 3rd on the ladder (this being PRX, vs a team being consistently out of the top 8 but then one year winning the premiership, GenG).
