  • Grading around another new construction home. This is the house where I dug out the pond last year, I'm back to clean up and grade around the house. I also need widen up the driveway to the house and clean up a spot in the field where the contractor that installed the ground source heat left the spoils at. I'm planning to get the yard all slicked up as well before the siding guys show up. Thanks for watching! #EliteEarthworks #Takeuchi #grading

Stripping grass was always the biggest pain in the ???. I never had to deal with rock and grass. That looks to be a bigger pain. It sure looks good when you get done. Thank you Brandon for the video. I enjoy your videos.

It’s definitely a pain. That grass is tough. Thank you! Appreciate you watching

I was doing a yard last week and had about the same situation as you did on this one with the grass and junk growing up around it. I normally use my power rake to do yards, but a friend of mine let me use a tool that he owns. Its called an Eliminator rake. It worked really good to take down the vegetation against the foundation and for dressing up around all the concrete surfaces where the power rake may would cause damage to the concrete. It really eliminated a lot of hand raking. I liked it pretty well and may see if I can't find one for myself. I will still use the power rake, though, on the bulk of the yard.
You cleaned up the geothermal area really nice. Hard to believe that much debris comes off an area like that. Stay safe my friend.

I can't believe you cleaned that royal mess up. I hope these people know how lucky they are to have you on the job. From what you describe that system sounds like a geothermal system similar to the one that Jesse Muller recently put in but I could be wrong. And I can't believe what a mess they left - I didn't expect it would be landscape but it should have been at least roughly levelled out - and for $80K - WOW!

That’s what it’s called! I knew I was saying it wrong 🤣 yeah it was a mess for sure. I’m with you you think for $80k they could have knocked it down a little 🤣 thanks again for watching

Nice work! New constructions always seem to be a mess! And a skeleton bucket for the 2150 seems like the right tool for that pile😂! Thanks for sharing👍

Thank you! I agree I’m actually going to call tomorrow to see about renting a mobile screener to get this pile done quicker though.

What a mess. Don't you love spending hours that you never estimated spending on a job doing something you have to do but it's really not your fault to start with. You did a great job working it into something you can finish. Once again, I bet the cockpit tape would have been entertaining hearing your thoughts while you were cleaning it up.

I was thinking skeleton bucket while you were pushing up that pile. As dry as it is, it’ll screen like gravel!
Dozing next to that foundation ain’t the job for a new guy to practice on… or an old hand with a hangover!
I drive by there a couple of weeks ago on my way to Bushwhacker. It was still a bit wet then. I was wondering if you were gonna get back this summer.
Are you gonna be back at the log site soon? We are heading back to Florida the end of the month. No hurry just letting you know.

I think it would screen nice being so dry. I finally made it back. Yes I’ll be at that site in a few more weeks to backfill it. I think they are still working on the foundation. I’ll let you know.
