Who’s still listening in November 2024?
The Wings made waves in Nigeria in the early 1970s. It was a great time of fun, especially in Secondary Schools dancehalls.
Gone are those sweet days.
Oh what a great singer Spud Nathans was. We lost him too early. Bless his soul.
When boys were men, spud nathan your memory lives on .
I never thought l would live so long, but today after more than 45 years l know that I'll live forever. Is anyone in doubt?
Chubby Dandy you're God sent to our generation. You will continue to receive Blessings from God Almighty for bringing us back to the times when music had meaning.
Thank You David! Very Glad To Hear Your Enjoying The Channel And The Trip Down The Musical Memory Lane!
Thanks for making us to enjoy music of past years.
This music remind me of Spud Nathan and the Wings of Aba in Abraka College of Education (Now Delta State University) in the 1970s. I was just a teenager then . Spud Nathan was our own James Brown. He had a golden voice and his dancing steps was exceptional. May his soul rest in perfect peace.
The days going to gigs were called Jumps !
Age of innocence ,me...n !
I was a baby back in the 70s, but I grew up to listen to these records on my daddy's turntable. I cherish those sweet memories. Thanks a million Chub Dandy. I stumbled on your channel just this afternoon and I'm hooked. God bless you for all the joy you bring. ❤

Ari Okpala's bass line on this song is so beautiful. I really like Manford's drumming here too. He would later switch to guitar.

Oh my God! You really made my day. This music reminds me of Spud Natans when the wings performed at Mbaukwu in Dec 1974 before his death the following day in motor accident:what a world!

@@ChubbDandys Thanks a lot bros for your effort in making us enjoy the good old days. If you can lay your hands on the other version of the track, you'll want me back some day, by The original wings, led by the late Arinze. Kudos.
The guy Spud was amongst those that extended faith to us Igbos after the civil war. A worthy son of Azia, Anambra State. Born and bred in Aba. May his soul rest in peace.
Please Chubbs,I need your assistance please. Thanks!
