would I be still be able to open/close my garage door with my normal garage door opener even after programming it to my Infiniti's rear view mirror? I have multiple vehicles and would like to be able to open/close the garage door with the garage door opener as well as my Infiniti's HomeLink system, whenever I'm driving it
This video is highly appreciated. Moved into a new home with a phantom garage door box and I had no clue how to pair it with my wife's infiniti SUV. This tutorial and another one I watched prior set me on the right path. Thank you.
Mine isn’t working. I followed all the steps and got the fast flashing light but the garage door still won’t open. I think I may have to call to have them trouble shoot it or take it to the dealer to have it looked at.
Is it possible to program your garage to open and close only when the car is on? If not then it’s a security issue because anyone can break into your car and have access to your garage. Thanks
I forgot to mention that my garage opener uses a rolling code. With only the ignition on then I was able to get the home link into program mode and it quickly paired to the garage door opener. Look under homelink in the manual as well for the instructions.

To program my QX30 I had to have the ignition on but have the engine off. In order to get the memory clear and get it in program mode the process can only work like this. If the car is completely off there is no power to the home link unit to make the programming successful. The manual states to have the ignition on to program the unit. The video does not mention this. It is a little misleading on this.
So there’s 2 different blink sequences for Infiniti homelink systems. This seems to be the “slow blink -steady” and did NOT work for me as I have the “fast blink- off”. If you also have the “fast-off” sequence, go to this video: ruclips.net/video/q9xSl5mhPLQ/видео.html. The “rolling code” sequence is the same after the initial program. Hope this helps!
If you feel that your vehicle is not operating as intended, we recommend visiting your local INFINITI retailer. Nearby options and their contact information can be found at www.infinitiusa.com/locate-infiniti-retailer.html.

Tried it and it worked exactly like she instructed. If you run into the rolling code part - I pressed and hold the program button on my garage door motor and followed the rest of the instructions.
@@mccartneystuart Longtime ago. Don’t remember if it did. But I don’t remember having to re-program my remotes after doing that. You’re correct also, but I just don’t remember if I did.
@@lionjklwlf I appreciate the reply. I have 4 vehicles (two are "toys") a 3 car garage and 3 remotes to the garage doors. I really want this to work in my Infiniti but not at the expense of the rest of the remotes not working. When I try to program the Infiniti it gives the response of the rolling code. I push the learn button on the door motor but won't link. I can reset the door motor codes, do the Infiniti learn but will most likely delete the remotes. Not sure when I do the Infiniti learn if I can then do the remote re-learn too. Might roll the dice and see. Thanks again.
Hello. You can program up to three remotes on to your HomeLink, if your vehicle is equipped. Please follow the tutorial to program your garage door opener with your HomeLink.

Thank you!!! It works now. I was following the video but what wasn’t clear in the video is that I had to hold the buttons down as the light goes through the series of flashes and release ONLY after the light goes off. lol maybe it was implied but I let go of the buttons when the light started the fast flashes. But I should’ve kept holding until the light stopped flashing. 😂 but it works. Thank you!!

John Kiene thank you!
:)
Wish I had seen this first...."Make sure you aren't standing directly under your garage door while programming Home link." Ya, thanks.
Can you add additional remotes without clearing existing ones on the home link

What if you want to add a remote, but not clear existing remotes? It sounds like pressing and holding the two outer buttons erases the memory?

@infinitiusa do we have to have an existing remote? I bought an old home, and they lost the remote for the garage door opener.
Once u get it working, do u still need to have your portable remote close by or no?
nope, you can leave that at home, or get rid of it. (not that you should)
That's completely pointless if you have multiple vehicles then. I do, and need all of them to be able to open the garage door.
