Off the Jetty rocks, watch your step. Blue fish 🐟 plentiful. Great fishing effort. . Go black drum.
Thanks for the content. “I’m your fishing guide…I’ve never been here before.” 😂😂😂 that’s was great!
Great watch Sand Man- you are keeping it fresh- thx for education always. Keep 'em coming Mike!
Thanks Marc!! Next video is from my kayak fun catches
love the videos!
Went that way Saturday the 22nd July 2023...heat index was 108* the water was so hot all the fish had towels around their waist sitting next to the rocks sweating!! They where not bitting at all!! Just sweating and drinking beers..I'll go again in September..
The mullet run is in September should be much better then!
I lived there all my life and that's is summer heaven. Rattle snake island what we called it is the island on the back side you have to take a boat or kyayk across. It leads up to the flats. When you first pull in and the water hole up front we called it the granny whole.
We still call it Granny's. Great for bait! My son and I love hunting fiddlers there too.
Looks very familiar 😊 great place and they do have a portable restroom at the front across from where the kayakers and SUP’s launch.
Yeah, Ive actually been there hundreds of times for live bait on the entrance side. I've just never fished the jettie wall. No bathrooms to report way out there by the inlet. Trout fishing is usually hot! Not this day for me. Bluefish bluefish bluefish. It's a good open to the public spot all around. Stay away from the kayak side though Alligator's lol 😂
@@staugustinesandmanfishing Shhh... what kayak side?
🫣
Try a little ice in the bait bucket keeps them frisky
Seemed same from my last trip to Surfside Vilano, bluefish party
Surfside is loaded with blues too. 12" to keep. Should be 8" lol sooo many
Gonna try giggin there tonight. Whats the scoop on parking till 4 or 5 am?
Should be okay
@@staugustinesandmanfishing There were ppl bathing with dish soap sharing a CA tagged jetski otw in and some mean locals that apparently have fished there 50 years n didn't appreciate me being there. I bailed for salt run and still only got one fish . Bummer. Part of the learning process. Ill try again on a better tide n stay away from people completely next time.
How much weight you using in this video
I think it was a 1/2 Oz egg weight or 1 Oz egg weight
Could’ve tried a paddle tail to try and change it up, no?
Yeah, good idea. I thought about that. The guys to my left were throwing artificial and they weren't hooking up so, I decided to keep with my bait to actually get a rod bends.
So I just looked up directions to rattlesnake island and it said it was permanently closed is that true?? If so I could only imagine because of the last hurricane
It's open
I fish there a lot on my kayak, lots of fish there.
Great 👍 that's a great kayak spot! I was on mine yesterday there. Great bite
School of deaf and blind was covered in blue fish today. they are thick right now
That's not a Khale hook. That is a mutu circle.
Oh You're right, the other rig had a Khale hook on it. I just accidentally Freudian slipped. Good catch. Thanks for keeping it honest. Yes, it's a circle hook on that one. I use lots of different set ups for bottom fishing. 2/O & 3/O Khale and Circle hooks are my favorites for Carolina/fish finder rigs. The mutu circular definitely keeps em from spitting it.
