Only the premise is similar, to be honest. There's no Death Game involved with the series, but that doesn't take away from the mystery of the school their trapped in at all.

I just want to say: as hard as you feel you push Bookwalker, you still undersell it. It is really hard to express how great a resource it is and I am thrilled to see it growing. Specifically, bringing light novels to English. It is a huge challenge to translate novels well, and they do a great job at an astonishing cost for the effort. Now, I was lucky enough to win one of their giveaways about a year and a half ago, though I didn't realise how quickly it expired so only used about 2/3 of it. But i spend a ton there every month. And thanks for the recommendation on Psycome! I have hovered over that buy button so often! But I do have only disability as income so I tend to be a bit careful sometimes, and repping Yuri has always won out. ;) thanks for all your work, these monthlies are my favourite things you update. Also, good job on the fundraiser! I watched a decent chunk of it, but honestly, the leg waxing is how every televised or streamed fundraiser should be down from now on, theme song singing included. Every pull of the strips spiked the donations, and I have to admit it got me to donate more than I'd initially intended because it was so damned funny. The irony of using one man's suffering to raise money to help alleviate the suffering of a large number of people was not lost on me. But hey, wer're terrible people who do nice things sometimes.

Hi akidearest, I got a suggestion; ever tried Made In Abyss? I don't understand why it is so underrated because it's very good. It's about a girl who lives in an orphanage by a big hole in the ground, she meets a boy who can't remember who he is. She wants to find her mom and he wants to know his origins and the only place to find the answers are in the abyss. The animation is beautiful and the characters are very cutesy, but don't let it fool you; it starts all light hearted and fun at the beginning but progresses into something very dark and disturbing the further these two kids progress. There are plenty twists and turns so it is not predictable and the whole shock value will keep you watching. Just try an episode you will be hooked.

The only reason I say that is that people are saying it's going bring 50 foot waves and it will become a category 5 but I'm just praying it doesn't. So much devastation is happening. @akidearest I totally suggest watching the anime Zankyou No Terror or in English Terror In Resonance. The anime is eleven episodes long and is a somewhat action based anime. II totally suggest it and I ended up binge watching it.
