Carrie Bradshaw didn’t live in the West Village.

Hi, the actual picture of the townhouse is located at 66 Perry Street in the West Village. It is part of the Sex and the City tour guide too which surprises a lot of people but that entire area is the village. The townhouse is now privately owned and the owner receives a lot of visitors of course and has the stoop block off so the many that visit do not go up the steps or sit on the stoop. I can't imagine owning that place and being visited all the time but they deal with it.
The address used in the show is the upper east side of NYC but there are no townhouses there just all apartment buildings. The townhouse used in the show and movies is all part of the west village and that entire area. Thanks for watching and commenting
