    I started making amigurumi animals because of you. I've made 2 bears, 2 monkeys and 2 elephants. Still learning, but I sincerely appreciate you sharing these tutorials so I can make handmade gifts for my family. They love them!

    Im almost finished but will have to start all over... not bad but not perfect. Just so you know its not all about crocheting Sharon. Your helping me beyond this and thru the end of a relationship who was love of my life and have to finish out a rental lease with. Needless to say its hard but throwing myself into this is healing for me. Thank you so very much

    i have to thank you. 30 yrs ago i learned to crochet just by looking at pictures because i had know idea what any of the terminology ment and know one to ask or to teach me. Now 30 yrs later i know what some of it means and i can make a lot of beautiful things. i have never made a doll or animal until coming across your post on pintrest. I love the magic ring and will be using it forever now. This project has been so fun and easy with your help. Cant wait to make more of your projects you have shared. Also thank you for being so clear on what steps are next and showing exactly how to do them step by step. You are a natural teacher.

    Thank you SO MUCH for these wonderful tutorials!!!! I have never been so thrilled to achieve making these adorable creatures. My Mom is in a long term care facility with stage 4 dementia and I have been making your creatures for her. Elephants are one of her favorites and I can hardly wait to bring this to her. I made it out of a bundle of baby mint yard that she had purchased on sale years ago for .99 cents! Although she will not recognize the yarn, she will love her new addition to her animal kingdom. Thanks again❤

    Hi Sharon,
    As I commented before your tutorials are excellent. I wonder if you have or had another profession as a teacher. Your attention to detail is five star. You have the added talent of being able to speak quickly but still you are very easy to follow. I admire the way your hands move especially when working in such small areas. I tried to follow how you tension your yarn, but I was all thumbs. I did the tail twice and really had trouble in the small area. My co-ordination was laughable. I did finish it. I'm ready to sew the little guy together. I hope I can get the pipe cleaner, it really does make a difference. I have learned so much putting Ellie Elephant together. I never would have never thought to sew into the work so deep. I hope you get to read this. I'm going to make a second elephant. He will be Alfie the baby elephant.

    • @SharonOjala
      @SharonOjala  10 лет назад

      thank you very much Dorothy, your words mean a lot.. straight to my heart! As far as tension goes I think it just takes practice. I know when I don't crochet for a while it take a bit of time to hold the yarn comfortably again. Keep me posted, I would love to hear of your progress

    love your videos!!!! i started crocheting and it was so hard! all the different stitches and wonky vocabulary!! UGH all the other crocheting channels were so hard to follow! they all go so so fast and talk as if i'm a master even though the video says "for beginners" right in the title! i was a stitch away from quitting and sticking to knitting.... then i found your channel and it was like a breath of fresh air! so easy to follow! such ADORABLE things, and along with the video itself in the top corner there is a little text with the stitch pattern! i haven't finished the elephant yet i'm still working on the feet but i already feel like an amigurumi MASTER! =^-^= i'm so glad that i saw your vids in my recommendation bar before i gave up!!

      I'm so happy to hear that, thank you for being so kind to those babies. I'm grateful and honored you are using my patterns in such a way. It means so much! Don't worry about the thumbs down, those aren't hurtful to me in anyway. There will always be those who leave their negativity, that's par for the course. It happens all over youtube. Some is deserved and some isn't. I'm blessed with 95% positive feedback so I feel pretty lucky and will keep on doing what I love. These older videos of mine are poor quality so I understand some of those thumbs down, lol I've gotten better and still learning :)

Her voice is soothing and she doesnt stumble on what she is saying. A very well made video, clear and very precise. Very well done and and the toys are super cute. Im an elephant lover so that is the tutorial i watched . 10 out of 10

    I'll tell you right now I LOVE UR PROJECTS :) The fact ur the type that makes head and body all 1 connected piece that we don't have to sew together is god like lol I always write my patterns to be 1 piece so no sewing is required for head to body :) I have made a lot of ur patterns and tweaked them to be unique and now I'm gonna give this a try :) You literally made my entire 2020 better with these fun projects ;)

    Thank you so much for this! I never knew the sewing methods you are using and they seem so much easier and stronger. I also never knew that you can glue eyes on after you have stuffed and made your critter. That is a great help. Best wishes to you!

    Hi Sharon, First thank you for such a fantastic video! You talk your time and speak softly and plainly that for me is exceptional! You also make sure that we can see exactly what you are doing..again fantastic! This is only my 2nd crochet item so I am new beyond new and I've been able to follow you. I did run into a couple of rows where I had more stitches than you did and in the the 1st 10 rows it was easy to go back and figure out where I went wrong. I'm on row 15 and have 3 extra stitches and not sure I can undo to a point I know where to pick up so unsure whether to just start over or continue with the extra 3 stitches. Guess I can continue..the worse that can happen is I have to undo all LOL But you're videos are by far the easiest I have found for me to follow! And I'm looking forward to learning and making more with you as my teacher! Again thank you and God Bless!!
