After watching this film, I was so very saddened when Kanaalaq (played by Annabella Piugattuk) did not make it. Or maybe she died The movie sort of left this open but if this was based on real events, I would venture to say she did not make it. If it were not for her strength, fortitude and sincere behavior Charlie (Barry Pepper) would have not survived. When Charlie fell apart in his rage and anger, she held it all together with her kind and gentle spirit. What a great movie!
Although Snow Walker has been out for a while, I only recently saw this movie. Didn't know it was based upon real people and true events. Annabella stole the show. Not sure if she has pursued an acting career, but she has talent.
