@@Lamour64 You have good taste. 👍
Possibly the most gracious and gorgeous woman to ever walk the earth…we were lucky to have her.
Autumn Sonata is so engaging and so well acted. It’s one of my favorite Ingmar Bergman films.
Very attractive in her 60's. 63 here.
Change the title to One of the greatest actresses talking about one of the greatest directors.
To one of the greatest interviewers
One of the most famous actresses you mean
@@wtfn573 I mean one of the greatest.
@@blcktar0176 she definetly isnt
@@wtfn573 oh but she was. She was extraordinary
Dick Cavett so respectful - called her Miss Bergman.
So did every interviewer who spoke to her. She had EARNED it through her long and exceptional career. She was a great lady of the theater by that time.
Interesting how natural and unaffected she was. Both Hepburn and Davis were both still acting in their interviews with Cavett. Still hidden by their professional personna.
Well, there are those that would argue that the use of "Miss" has some undesirable connotations, though in situations/uses such as this, I have thought of it as being a complimentary honorific, implying that even actresses of advancing years are eternally youthful in spirit, unbound by time.
Great interview with one of my favorite actresses of all time.
I have the complete Ingmar Bergman right here. I am going to watch “Autumn Sonata” tonight after dinner. Thank you for this marvelous interview. I have never heard Ingrid Bergman talking off-set about anything to do with her film career. Thank you Dick Cavett!
@ Geosutube, Look up Ingrid Bergman- interview with Michael Parkinson. You will love it.

"...written in fire over my forehead..." That is the same impression I got seeing her in the Maugham play, "The Constant Wife". She is awesome.
Thank you so much for this interview with Ingrid Bergman! Is this the complete interview? What an exceedingly good interviewer Dick Cavett is, the interview is about his host, not about him scoring.
I wish that American hosts of TV shows today were more like him. Nowadays they are badly prepared, usually don’t know much about their guests and just want to be funny themselves. The guests never gets a chance to tell a story from the beginning to the end.
Great Lady
Well, I'm off to stream "Autumn Sonata" now. Good night, everyone!
Wonderful film!
Made many great flicks.
Nice to see Dick with his own RUclips channel. Any plans to bring back the show?

have nothing against the other celebs that were on this show but is this channel ever going to show the Dick Cavett shows where he interviews Jackie Gleason or Art Carney? How about any Honeymooners actors that were part of the main cast? These are rarities much like these.
Is this channel ever going to show Dick Cavett shows where he interviews Jackie Gleason and/or Art Carney? I don’t have the Decades channel.
I'm so unlucky....i still haven't got a chance to witness her on big screen
Can you not rent her movies?
Quite a few are free on RUclips

Is it true that Ingrid Bergman did not need makeup in her Hollywood movies?
Yes, she refused to be glammed up by Hollywood
Sound is inexistent.
