1 Kings 12:6-19: A Nation Divided

Last week we saw Solomon, the wisest man in all the world, actually became foolishly wise largely through the collection of 1,000 wives and concubines, an overwhelming number on any level. In chapter 12, we’ll see that his son Rehoboam foolishly believes that he is greater than his father. In that, we will see the nation divided.
