How I just love your Chanel so simple but that’s good because we don’t all have the means to keep up with what’s new but I love what you do now I’ll go and do my pots I’ve had hanging young for ever thankyou 😊
I do like to keep things simple Christine and budget friendly. I’m not a great one for trends, I just do what makes me smile 😀 Have fun revamping your pots! 🥰
❤❤❤ it. I recently started doing this as well. I absolutely love it. You do your pots so exquisitely. I’ve have yet to try dirt along with the joint compound while wet. Definitely gonna give that a try. Thank you so much. ❤
Fabulous good for you love the garden pots. A tip on moles if they get in your garden put blue toilet blocks down it chases them off a grounds man told me this tip when I had them in my lawn they soon went strong Jeyes toilet blocks 😉
I love your decoration. Coincidentally, I also use this technique. Born because I live in a country where you couldn't buy lime paint and similar products when I started. So I started experimenting myself. You can use all kinds of construction plaster. Such as various wall repair powders, adhesives for tiles, grout and even cement. Various products have different structures and colours. I also use it with various paints. It works great. You can also use other application techniques to get a different effect.
Isn’t it fun to experiment! Thank you so much for your comment as I’m sure it will give lots of encouragement to people new to this to just ‘give it a go’!! X
I’m thinking about showing how I do the effect on the mirror behind the finished pots in the cottage… that was a black £10 charity shop find that I revamped 😁 If you have any video suggestions please do let me know 😊
Hi Tracey Enjoying your RUclips chanel. I have got lots of inspiration watching your channel. I think you are amazing, very talented. I just wanted to know if I've bought the right joint compound . It's called quick drying jointing. Can't wait to get started on a few projects. Your home is beautiful 😍 Your so funny too. Hello to bertie.
Hi Tracey, so glad I have found your channel! Your styling is very much up my street as well as your thrifty ways…I wonder, do you think this would work on outdoor flower pots? Thanks, Charlotte 😊
No you don’t with this method. Also this technique is for indoors only, if you want pots to go outside please watch my Plastic To Stone video as it has different products that are suitable for the exterior 😊
I tried this with some of my spices and even though it's dry now, the spices keep flaking off. I made sure to rub them in while it was still wet, so I don't know what I did wrong.
New sub here. I adore you and your channel. My kinda lady. Do you find that the quick dry joint compound works better than the regular dry? I’ve seen it used in paper mache as well.
Yaay! Welcome 🙏🏻 Quick dry joint compound: oh definitely, especially when using it in mild or damp weather…which we are getting a lot of at the moment! If you can work quickly in hot weather then go for the quick dry every time 😁
Sorry to hear that. Yes this is a very early video when I was still learning about filming. I’m sure you’ll find the sound quality much better on my more recent ones! 😊
Going back through your older videos and loving them.
Thank you!!!😀
Tracey, are you serious!!! What easy steps!! I have to do this, your vessels are ALL toooooooo gorgeous! Blessings!!
You can do it Lola! Go for it! 🥰
❤ it! You could also mix in some used coffee grind and dab teabags all over. Thanks for another great post.
Awww thanks Joel! Yes you can, great tip! 🤎
I l9ve the ones you add cayenne pepper on too.❤

Tile grout and dirt. Who knew?! ❤ Now I know! I’ve been doing the baking soda and paint. This is way better. Thank you.❤
You are so welcome! The powder I am using here is wall filler, for repairing holes and cracks but tile grout would work too! Have fun! 😁
@@RuralRefurb in the US it’s called plaster mud.

@@RuralRefurb I think that is a nice idea. If I have ideas I will let you know☺
Great! I've got a huge bag of tile adhesive and grout left over from my kitchen makeover and it can go off so I'll maybe have a go! 🤞
Hi Tracey
Enjoying your RUclips chanel.

I just wanted to know if I've bought the right joint compound .
It's called quick drying jointing.
Can't wait to get started on a few projects.

It won’t Charlotte as it’s not waterproof but this video is for external use: ruclips.net/video/V5KFAFUElA8/видео.htmlsi=pNx6vZO1LV6HPCN9
Ciao, bellissimo e interessante anche questo lavoro. Trasmetti serenità...grazie! Nuova iscritta👍👋
Thank you so much!!🙏🏻😊
Do have to prime the pots first? OK there not going outside. Really pretty
No you don’t with this method. Also this technique is for indoors only, if you want pots to go outside please watch my Plastic To Stone video as it has different products that are suitable for the exterior 😊
Great vid and looks hopefully easy to do! Will let you know how I get on! 🙈
Super easy to do! Have fun with it! 😁
I’ve been thrift shopping looking for a large ugly piece to make over this way ❤
Yaay!! Have fun! 👏🏼😊🤗
Thanks. Love it 😃
I'm glad you like it! Thanks so much for watching 🙏🏻😊
Thank you❤👍
You're welcome 😊

Try using a matt spray lacquer or even hairspray! 😊
If you did seal these pots, what would you use?
Probably a Matt spray varnish 😊
Love this 🌸🌸🌸🌸
Thank you! The technique has come on somewhat since then😀check out my recent videos if you haven’t seen the latest effects!😊
Great job
Thank you! 😊
I wonder, could this be done on a large scale, like an indoor wall?
Absolutely!! Although I’d probably finish it with a matt lacquer just to seal it 😊
I live in America. What should I buy from Home Depot for the joint compound? Is there a particular color or it doesn’t matter?
Look for a powder quick drying filler, one you would use to fill holes in walls😊
@ thank you so much for responding so quickly this is so helpful
Can this be made waterproof by sealing? Curious if I could get away with a vessel sink with this method
No but check out this video for an exterior finish😊DIY STONE LOOK OUTDOOR PLANTERS

Linked in the description 😊

🙏🏻🥰
👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏
Is joint compound tile grout?
No it’s wall filler, filling holes in plasterboard walls😊
@@RuralRefurb thanks, I'll get some and hopefully get a good result 👍

Thanks for watching 🙏🏻♥️
Tried this and it doesn't look like that at all.
It does take a little practice 😊
