Leslie’s does it for free. I like repairing the 280’s. This, since I’m not paid for this time, this video has made me want to take it to Leslies.

Bought a rebuild kit, would have never got it done without this video. Complete overhaul of the 380 and she is working like a champ. Thank you so much, Craig.

Just rebuilt my 380 for a second time, but this time was more extensive. So thankful for this video. Hope I can find it next time I need to work on the 380. Even though rebuild kits are expensive, it's nothing like purchasing a new Polaris.

Craig thanks so much for this step by step video; my 380 stopped working and this video helped tremendously; all wheel bearings were shot and once replaced it works like new!

Just used this video to replace the belts in my 380. I could not get the wheel base past the leaf bag “tube” so I just continued on with the repair. Still worked great!! Wheels are working great!

Craig, Thanks for the time and effort you put into this video. I too purchased the complete replacement kit for my 380. It was in the 5th year of use so it was pretty tired. I followed you video several times, tripped over the wheel setup, my own fault. I put the shaft to the gear wheel in backwards so it kept hitting the hydro wheel and wouldn't let it spin freely. After that, it was fairly smooth sailing. Thanks again, much appreciate it..-Jeff

Great video. Easy to follow and understand. Well explained and video shows everything. Just did a rebuild with new bearings, belt kit, gear kit, feed tube O ring and new tires. Also had to replace the single side wheel. Two new bags and a package of 12 scrubbers. All for less than $112.00 and about an hour of my time. Basically, a new Polaris 380. Good advice about the tail jet and float, as well.

So helpful. I just rebuilt my Polaris. Had been having issues since last summer. Replaced the bearings and belts. Unit is only 3 years old and I'm surprised I needed to replace them already.

Thank you for making this. Very helpful. I just bought the drive gear set and a couple of new bearings - I do think getting a full bearing set is a good idea (several of mine just fell apart while dismantling), but my local pool shop didn’t have a full set in stock.
Don’t lose your jet o-ring when you disassemble!

Thorough and comprehensive; thank you. Wish I'd seen it before I bought the housing, though, because I would have bought the 5132 O-ring at the same time instead of chasing all over town for it later.

Excellent video. I purchased the complete replacement kit. It was so full of parts that it looked like you could completely build a new Polaris. It might be helpful to others to know you must take apart the old one to retrieve the frame as that seems to be all that is missing to build a complete new polaris. Taking apart the old one also helps see where things fit but is required to get the frame. Emphasize not damaging the frame as well. I am not mechanical so it might have been obvious to everyone else. Thanks again for excellent video

Just did a 360 gear train kit. Would like to make the designer take it apart. No reason to have the tight clearance in the tube casting for the 3 screws or the sides of the main tube where it passes through the frame. Just 1/8 of an inch would have fixed all the interference problems.
    Might dremel parts next time.

Thanks for the awesome Video! I'm looking to rebuild my Polaris 380. Does it pay to get the Polaris tune up kit (9-100-9010) or Polaris rebuild kit (9-100-9030) ? Both kits are very pricey.
