will this work on an android TV box? i have one that hangs at the Android splash screen and keeps looping. trying to find a way to keep the box and reuse it another way. a hard reset does not work. i found the button but when i hold it down and try to power on the box, nothing happens.

Don't hold the button, press it like 5 or 7 times and it will give you a menu that allows you to restore to factory.
