I saw them in concert in '92 / '93 when they were opening for the Chili Peppers. Man, that was a wild ride... 🌟
Chilli Peppers should have been opening for B52's!

Great Band
Triple threat. Great songs, great musicianship, great entertainers! Thanks STV!!
YahoOoot!. We saw the B52's on a regular basis in my teens... Such funtastic memories.
Bonkers but I love it!
I saw the B52s twice, once in the early 80s at a small club in Dallas. I was blown away. Next time was several years later at a huge concert in Atlanta, Georgia.
It's both the worst and the greatest song ever all at the same time,
it cracks me up!🤣🔥
Not their greatest song but a great performance and fantastic to see. Much appreciated, great channel.
Awesome!
Total lunacy! :D Love it!
❤❤❤❤
I bought their debut album in 1979. It's a classic. Watching this is amusing. It sounds corny , singing a song about butter beans. It seems ridiculous today. Imagine Taylor Swift singing this.
It was their first album (plus their stories have nothing in common. The B~52'S was something like a liberating explosion of joy through music, their look is fun. Their music is all about them, it's color and movement. It's another story very different from Taylor Swift or any other music (not related to it, of course. Well, that's what I think!

Rock Lobster was a hard one to top.
Interesting to see Brian Wilson on the keyboard.
you mean Ricky ? haha
I'd love to see Brian Wilson perform with the B's though
@@Blank_Frank oops wrong Wilson.
This is punk to me, soft themes but punk energy.
Almost like some sort of new wave of music....
S'Punk, like S'Xpress?
Soft if soaked overnight and boiled long enough.
Never drive drunk. Never drive distracted. Thanks, guys. Arrive home alive!
Rip it up and start again. The greatest thing punk rock did was rewrite the rule book and open the door for bands like the B-52s
Thanks for watching and commenting Sean
who IS 22 tomorrow?!
The girl presenter at the start
I have no idea who that was, or why it was even relevant.
Someone who just had her 61st birthday. Wow.
Sigue Sigue Sputnik + Kraftwerk:
😝😅
Six years later, after the grief of losing Ricky, they brought out Cosmic Thing and hit it really big.
and now they suck
@@hanskloss1331 That’s your opinion. I saw them live in 1994, 2008 and 2013, and they were on exceptional form each time. The atmosphere was electric.

@@endlessnameless6494 Always know how medications, whether prescription or OTC, will affect you, before you get behind the wheel, too. If I've had to take allergy meds or decongestants with diphenhydramine or phenylephrine, I simply don't drive, as my reaction to them isn't always consistent.
This is from Whammy! which I believe is their best album. Love the farting keyboard!
Thankyou Scottish TeeVee, you spoil us!
