@glk001 Yes, about 9" circumference and the Terks base a bit small allowing to fit onto something with an even smaller area...The Terk's variable capacitor allows for tuning to 1705 kHz, which is used in North America...But the AN 200 I have only tunes to the European 1606.5 kHz...For space, they are my first choice, for untimate preformance, the home brew is best...Ferrite rod antenna also do remarkably well for the size and I try to salvage any I can out of dead radios...But great videos!..
A simple wire antenna (at least 15m) of a 0.25 mm of insulated wire enhances the reception significantly. Also Sony AN LP 1 works quite well with Sony ICF 7600GR but also with my Eton G3 and Tecsub PL 660
I was able to purchase a Eaton An 200, and of course it says Grundig on it, but all the same antenna...It's tuner, variable capacitor, is not matched as well as the Terk, but reception is equal...I still would pay the ten USD more for the Terk, looks so much better...Homemades still work best...
@juslitor You are lucky then, even the product describtion say 1600kc...My Terk has some tunability to 1710kc, the Eton I have, just doesn't...Which is fine by me...On my homebrew spirals, I used multiple air capacitor units, so if I want to shift the range of frequency, I simply put a test lead to another stage in the capacitor...On one spiral antenna, I left taps every 15' and can tap into the antenna along with the air capacitor for specific range of frequencies or go right to short wave...
I kinda like the Terk Advantage a bit better because it just looks better, but basically the same type of antenna. I would give them a 4 star outta 5 only because my home brew 120' spirial tunable does better. But where can you buy this model in the USA outside of Ebay?..I know it's Chinese, but seems no dealer or suplier carries them...The 3.5 mm connection is so needed for many a/v receivers cause there's no ferrote rod internal antenna. Good antenna's, yet easy to build your own cheaply.
@glk001 I have the grundig version, and it certainly tunes up to 1710 khz when inductively coupled to an sangean ats 909. The grundig is far superior to an inverted L with a vertical of 10 meters and horisontal part of 20 meters.
Hi Tudor, which AM loop antenna is better: Terk Indoor AM Antenna ADVANTAGE or Kaito AN-200 Tunable Passive AM Antenna. A comparison video from you would be great.

If you're interested in shortwave, a simple wire antenna is most of the time enough to improve the reception.
No you need loop for noise reduction!!!!!!!
Place a narrow strip of white tape on the tuning knob, from the center to the outside edge. This will give a quick visual reference.
@glk001 Yes, a bigger homemade loop may be better, but the AN200 and the Terk take up so very little room and still do a good job.

I have the same antenna and works good with my Yupiteru
This antenna is only for the medium wave (AM) band, not for shortwave.
You can just plug this directly into the radio. Sony antenna jack works all the way from longwave to shortwave.
