As a Puerto Rican musician, I can say without hesitation that this cat knows exactly how to break it down! Great job my man 😁
HE IS NOT A CAT HE IS A HUMAN BEING
i know Im asking the wrong place but does any of you know of a method to get back into an instagram account??
I somehow lost the login password. I would love any tricks you can offer me
@Nickolas Beckham instablaster =)

If you will allow me to educate you, he is according him one of the highest accolades that one musician can give another. It is a term that is very much used within the jazz world.
By the way, I am very interested in your use of UPPER CASE to write your comment.
Now that's a real musician he can play everything literally
Is there no end to this guy’s talent. Latin percussionist here. Conga tumbao = approved. Good work. :-)
Damn amazing! This dude can play anything! So much freaking tallent in just one person, is almost not fair, lol. I wish I could play music like him.
Practice, practice, practice
And of course talent!
I thought your conga playing was great. Awesome breakdown.
Says, " im not a conga player." Proceeded to execute basic timbao pattern with proper technique and good feel.
Salsa is a very complex rhythm, and combined with that syncopated piano thingy, gives it, it's characteristic feel and sound...very difficult for me to duplicate, but you have broken it down splendidly!
Sabor!!!! Excelent pronunciation of each instrument name. Tienes el tumbao!!!
Doctor mix es italiano, por eso la pronunciación.
I found this genre while spinning a wheel for me to pick a genre to make. It's pretty cool!
Yeah, we do it like that.
Very nicely done. Very authenic sounding. Your groove is superb. You did very well on congas too.
Thanks!
3 - 2 clave is one of the types of clave rhythm. There is also 2 - 3 clave. In my younger years I use to play sax in some of the salsa bands down here in Puerto Rico.
I honestly say.I am a huge fan of yours.your words on mixing ,mastering, compressions, eq , sound designs are really fasinating and simple that everyone can understand from begginer to advance misic producers.I am really glad to get a teacher like you.Thakyou for being with us.
You're welcome!! This is the work of our Team and this wouldn't be possible them :)
This is the tits! Please do more arrangement stuff like this, there's enough mixing stuff out there, what we really need is production/arrangement/songwriting
The most Cuban Italian I've seen. You should be living in Miami lol
I just realized you’re the man behind Sunlightsquare! Such great music!
You ever considered making video game music? Sounds like this could fit right in with Tropico!
This video is so aesthetically pleasing...from the music to the instruments (Nord 2!) to the good Doctor's clothing to the décor and furniture in the background. Everything works so well together. Oh, and I love how Doctor disclaims he is not a conga player and then proceeds to play the thing utterly on point. Great stuff!
Delightful to watch!!!!
I legit started dancing to it when the bass came in 😂. Love this!
Absolut klasse Dr . Miiiixxxx.
More, more, MORE of this great stuff! How about a different rhythm?
Amazing rhythm, doctor! El sabor de la salsa se puede sentir. Cheers!
Congrats, Doc, to this highly enjoyable analysis!
Thank you! I am a music teacher and I wanted to introduce Latin rhythms! Your video really was fun for the kids and they all accomplished the first objective which was Son Clave!!! Gracias!! Love your studio too!
You are making me very happy with this demonstration! Thank you SO very much! I have seen another good demonstration, but this is more basic and simple, thus easier for me to fully understand! Love the bass part, man, this is awesome!
Seriously, thank you for this insight. Loved it thoroughly, will totally try this out. Thanks and God bless 🙂🙏🏼❤️
Beautiful! So talented and inspirational
Maaaaaan!!!! Your fkn awesome... You got it... You do have it... Saaaabor...😀😀😀😀

i almost got up and started dancing!
Amazing Job Doctor Mix!! you know your stuff!!
Everything was like, "Ok, ok, I feel dat, but still not slapping me in the face as a salsa song". Then that piano hit, and it was like, yep, there it is. Nice video! Would love to see one about bachata, merengue, cumbia, or any other Latin style!
And would love to see one about Zouk / Lambada!
Superb man!!

Another cool video..thx for sharing and congrats!!
Yh man ... I'm impressed 👏
I love salsa and this sounds really great
Just came across this. Great! I have imported all the audio tracks into Logic. Slots in perfectly. I have used Flex Pitch to create MIDI/Score to transcribe the Bass and Piano tracks. And can now practice by muting the track I am playing. Perfecto! Really well prepared Dr Mix.
so cool thank you so much
This was good. Very clearly explained the basics of old school salsa.
Wow that was actually amazing to watch. Great video.
Gracias, Doctor!
Love this stuff! :D
Love it! Great job.... =)
Very nice!! thanks
This is wonderful. Thanks.
Electrica Salsa!!! Baba baba :-)) Kudos.
Nice & tight playing 👍
The Search for new inspiration as a drummer brought me here. I come from progressive Rock and Germany, a country which's people never will understand Salsa, because it is not our culture and rhythm, without meaning that in any notation bad for this music, or the culture, where it comes from.
So from my weak Salsa perspective: ;-)
A cool guy, good explained, adorable skills of playing the instruments, very good timing... What else can be better?
A truly professional with style.. Your brought me a bit closer to salsa.. ;-)
Chapeau
Sabor!!! Eres muy talentoso, felicidades!!!
Nice Claudio! Your videos are very nice and help me a lot. I am studying keyboard and musical theory after 30 years stopped. Now everything is much more easy to learn. Cheers from Brazil
Great instruction, thank you!

You are the shit bro! You break it down proper like!!
Awesome! Not bad conga track for a non player! ;)
sounds nice :-)
Well done! You're kind of a 'bad boy' and a damn good music educator, aren't you Dr. Mix? ¡Si senior!
Fantastique! I hope I can recreate proper Latin and Swing on Cubase. I hope 'dance raves' now have the 'older', interesting rhythms, and we learn to dance together.
You have a better "ritmozon" than me. and I'm mexican, haha! you've done it AWESOME!
Since when the Mexicans know anything about salsa?
Very cool ;D
Well this was epic
Beautiful, It sounds like Cuba to me
Wow!!
Great explanation on the timbale cowbells. Can you do a cumbia villera explanation?
pure fun
One day i asked you "what do you think which presets was used in Bily Idol's "Rebel Yell"? I found the message from Judi Dozier>
"You can hear the Prophet V on the strings and the cello on "Rebel Yell."
The strings build chords up the keyboard on the chorus [micke: the rev 2 Prophet really sounds great here], and the cello is a one-note line in the quiet parts.
The OB-XA is on the stabbing chords on the chorus.
You will hear both keyboards on the little intro that sounds like mallet keys."
As is.
This video is so helpful thank doctor mix, 1 sub from me hehe ✌🏻❤️
Cómo ¡No latencia! Azúcar. Gracias.
Makes me wanna start a radio show in Cuba and speak really really fast while transitioning to the next song
need a full length track by doctor mix please. Would also would know what to type onto youtube to look more of this style of that kind of piano playing
