Japanese aquariums are awesome! I've been to the Osaka one, and it was so beautiful. I also really like the fact that they have a petting corner, since it is really interesting to feel the aquatic animals. You rarely have the chance to do that.
Thanks so much for taking the time to film this Scott, it is so informative for people who can not visit these places themselves, and very interesting even for the people who don't like history. hehe
Slightly off topic. First thing I noticed was your Thrasher T-shirt. Man, I used to read that way back. Had a subscription from '89-'94. Memories... On topic: Excellent Okinawa series! 5/5
okinawa world... i only been there twice when i was a kid... i loved watching the mongoose fight... and i walk thru the caves... and it was so irie cuz the cave rocks looked fake but they were real... but it's an alright place... but yey you went to kokusai street... i was wonderin when i was gonna see a video of it... cuz that's like the shopping spot of all spots on oki...
That's cool. I saw this Nature documentary about the fish that live in caves. Those fish are completely different than the fish that live in oceans and lakes.
yeah yeah !!! i saw it again today at the aquarium! it was called something like coconut lobster or something! damn it reminds me of coconut shrimp in south florida....agh i wanna eat both now!!!
the caves made me think of the cavern level from goldeneye on the N64. HELLA! and that open market place thing looked like i could have spent at least 3 days just looking around there. (and trying all the food of course)
I went in a cave similar to that over in the U.S, it can get pretty chilly down there :3 I kinda feel sorry for that crab thing in the cage o_o is he a pet?
That's not a lobster at all! That's what I told you to eat in a comment on an earlier video. It's a yashigani aka cononut crab, the biggest land crab there is. Lives like this on land only after it becomes an adult ^_^ Supposedly the meat taste like coconut and it's popular in Okinawa because they're supposed to have lots of them. Though they export some to other regions, it should come much cheaper if you eat it there, try it for me please~~~~~~

Habu liquor is fun stuff. Makes your whole mouth numb. Had some at Shibuya Cyclone at an Okinawa-centric event, same day as Tokyo RUclips Hanami.
I thought all kinds of alcohol were good for you! :-)
And the friendly cool pigs were a huge plus!
That open market was awesome!

personally i prefer transworld but i loved thrasher too. i mean lets be honest..they always had the best skate mag logo of all time.
And I thought the worm in a bottle of tequila was something!
your camera doesn't have night vision? Figured that was a standard feature of modern video recorders.

you are indeed right! alcohol is natures remedy for everything!
I was waiting to see the okinawan kimono:(
