Ollie getting tickled by some random drunk man is so on par with the plot LOL
That’s Michigan for ya, we’re touchy-feely but in a friendly way
@ just good ol’ boy joy!
He was so confused 😂
@@Bren3669Uncle Jimmy?
Seriously. I’ve lived in TX 25 yrs now and love the BBQ / Buc-ees stuff. But this might be my favorite US based Jolly video yet.
Tailgating is *SO EXTREMELY REGIONAL* the foods you get in Detroit at a Lions game will be totally different from what you'd get in New Orleans at a Saints game or at Kansas City at a Chiefs game. The one thing that will be the same everywhere tho is the drinking and excitement.
Yeah, I see no BBQ. I guess it Southern thing.
DC has the classic half-smoke and some good Maryland seafood boils
If someone from Texas saw you putting Catalina dressing on a taco salad
there would be a Fight only a Yankee would do something like that.
He probably puts Catalina dressing on his tacos.
@@manchesterunitedno7 BBQ isn't a big thing in Detroit. We have it but it's not NEARLY as popular as in the South.
They could do a whole series on it.
“I don’t know your cousin I just met you.” Is crazy Ollie absolutely crazy 😂
I was just about to comment the same thing! 😂😂😂
I think she's about 2/3 in the bag, lol.
I started dying when he said that 🤣🤣😭🤣
Im about to comment, laughed so hard 😂😂😂
bro is not used to that mid western conversation you just pretend you’ve known the person and just go along with it😭
Venison sausage made from someone’s recently hunted deer is the MOST Michigan thing you could have eaten. It doesn’t get more Michigan than that.
Does are illegal to hunt aren’t they?
@@renee1300 I don't think illegal, but nobody really goes hunting for a doe unless you're an off-grid wilderness person in need of food.
@@renee1300I think your confusion may be with the wording. Typically venison refers to the meat of a buck, not a doe. ☺️
@@renee1300No. Most states allow you to tag two doe or one buck per season unless there's a random higher tag season for culling reasons. Everybody wants a buck for the rack and size, but for ar perfectly legal to shoot, in season.
@@renee1300nope, they are perfectly legal, just that some people don’t hunt them because they hunt for sport rather than for food.
Ollie getting a ref jersey in Detroit.... he doesnt even know what hes done... and I kinda love it.
Literally the worst place to wear that uniform 😂
@@jakej2680 Every time he said, "And for the referees!!!", a Detroit fan died a bit inside, and thought about withholdig delicious foods. But then the midwesterner / rust belt took over and fed him any way LOL

The Careless Whisper intro playing in the background had me dying 🤣
Had a proper laugh at that. Terrible but hilarious!
Canadian here. My family and I went to Loui's the other day thanks to you guys as its only an hour or so away and not only did they seat us at your guys' table without us even having to ask, but we were blown away by the food, and boy are the servers still riding the high from having you guys there. I heard them all say "raunch" probably 50 times. They're all so proud of that video. Thank you two for helping introduce us to that wonderful shrine of pizza.
aww, this is so great, thanks for sharing your experience!
all hail The Raunch Hands!
Drinking a pocket fireball and then pronouncing "I am ready to officiate" while wearing referee stripes is, unironically, perfectly the right kind of humor for an NFL tailgate. No kidding, that is EXACTLY the type of joke in that environment 😂
Ollie literally says the most uncomfortable things ever.... and doesnt stop despite the numerous prompts. Every. Time. 😅
I almost always watch these videos while I'm eating, so whenever he goes on those uncomfortable topics I'm like "Oh god, Ollie, please stop!! I'm trying to eat, too!" LOL
he is the GOAT with all the best CHEESE
He cant help himself lol
Oh, my goodness! I mostly watch the school kids vids but I was busting a gut each time he went morose. Totally went from frolic and festivities to fomenting 🤮in a nanosecond-or more accurately, a no-no second! 😂
As a Detroiter, I can proudly watch this video and say "oh no I know that guy" at least once or twice
I don’t think I have ever laughed so hard at a Jolly episode before. This was pure wholesomeness. But also showing the final score when the Lions fan was cheering so hard was kind of diabolical 😂
This was pretty funny but the one where Ollie puts satans toe in the coton candy maker still make me die laughing.
@@davidstufflebean3285 Josh gets us here, Ollie keeps us here lol
That dude was giving off hardcore Chris Farley vibes, too.
I was waiting for fan #77 to stroke out!!
Not from the US, have zero clue about their football, never watched a game, and just learned what tailgating is from this video! But wow, this tailgating stuff is crazy fun! Who knew parking lots could be this wild? 😂
Oh it's an absolute blast. The food will be pretty regional, but the general vibe is all about warm comfort food, free-flowing beer, and just communal excitement.
This video really catches the vibe of an American tailgate perfectly. Some people going being real extra with their setups, most people just happy with a few cheap beers and a lawn chair. But definitely the spirits of being just a little rowdy, being jovial and welcoming, and inviting everyone to share in some food and a cold beer while bragging about something that's homemade.
And, of course, a couple of folks who are a bit too drunk and bordering on belligerent, but the tailgate is typically all fans of the same team so it becomes more of a "a bit too rowdy/familiar uncle who's blasted at a family picnic" vibe 😂
It's all great fun. The biggest takeaway is that you're surrounded by strangers, but "we're wearing the same jerseys so no one is a stranger here. Let's give each other a high five, I'll toss you a beer. Wanna have a hot dog?"
It’s so popular that a lot of people will just go tailgate even if they don’t have tickets to the game.
It's much bigger for college teams too. The University near me has a stadium next to the lake and people dock their boats to tailgate on.
@@jakej2680 good ol' Rocky Top?
We welcome everyone here in KC!
Ollie smiling after the Fireball shot and Josh being disgusted at 16:18 is the perfect image.

"you're like most NFL refs, you don't even know what you're doing" 😂😂😂 12:25
Does a shot, I am ready to REF! lol
Is that why the Chiefs are going to the Super Bowl again??
Love how everything in this video is so authentic. You went to real Michiganders and real lions fans tailgates and not some corporate sponsored event. As a fellow lions fan that doesn’t live in Michigan (so I’m unable to attend most games) I enjoyed every second of this video. Made me feel back at home. Hope you enjoyed the game too even thought we lost 😢
Omg the Minnesota sushi 😂 No Michigan party, potluck, tailgate, etc is complete without it. That, and someone bringing venison from the deer their buddy got up north last weekend.
This video is so aggressively Michigan it’s making me homesick. I just realized I haven’t seen most of these foods since moving to New England.
I smiled the whole video. When he pulled out the venison, I almost cried.,
Shortly before my dad passed away, I introduced him to your channel. He absolutely loved it and was astounded by your appreciation for our country. Despite the outcome, I’m glad you guys welcomed Josh and Ollie so warmly. They looked like they had a blast at their first football tailgate!
I am a Michigander and still can’t believe you came here! You really are experiencing true midwestern culture by going to a lions tailgate 😂 from the chilli dip to puppy chow and bumpy cake to a fireball shot, this is a great representation of Michigan!
Absolutely! I couldn't believe how many things they tried that are just normal to me. It was awesome
Right? I'm a Michigander too. They did a good job of eating many of our go tos.
I agree! Whoever set this up did a really great job. My mom's recipe for taco salad took me out cause I too make my mom's taco salad to bring places as my dish lol.

@@Squadron_Bodron I snorted 😂
Deviled eggs are a magical hors d'oeuvres. They vanish within minutes after being presented at parties.
My kids used to say mine were the best so I taught Sis how to make em , so now at every holiday meal she brings them ( they have to be sprinkled with paprika )
And then the noxious farts present themselves. I ate 3 deviled eggs once, and my dog would not be around me for 2 fucking days.
And thanks to diverticulitis they run through me like a rockstar through straws and spoons 😂
I want to enjoy deviled eggs, but unfortunately i had a bad experience with them when I was really young and now I can't even look at them
and they smell like a fart!
Ollie is really like that friend you're kind of afraid of bringing places because you don't know how other people would react to him, but most of the time, they're an absolute BLAST to be around. I also love that bro's basically your cultural ambassador
As a lifelong Detroiter, this one had me smiling the entire video. (Laughing, too, of course, but that goes without saying.) So very happy that you came here and had a great time. Loved the Loui's pizza vid, too.

Honestly, same. I never enjoy these kinds of things personally.
Yeah the weather is always miserable, but the food is so good.
I had a grin on my face this whole video. As an American, seeing our cousins across the pond genuinely go in with an open mind and enjoy some of our snacks and culture, even if some of it may seem silly to outsiders. In a world that has become so negative and political, it's refreshing to just see chill people hanging out and appreciating other cultures and not being judgy. I hope to visit England soon and try all of the food and see all of the architecture and museums. I love fish and chips but I want to have it in england! And I hear there is a lot of good Indian food and I am dying to try a Sunday roast as well.
I love all of the trad grub they have...sausage rolls, Scotch eggs, bacon butties, roast beef & Yorkshire pudding, Steak & Kidney pudding, Sunday roast, and their F & C will ruin you, you won't be able to eat it here anymore (at one chippie there were 6 kinds of fish, I had Skate which was *amazing* ). Haven't been there in over 10 years now, don't know if I'll make it back or not. I grew up out here on the west coast, but I was born at St. Mary's in Livonia. GO BLUE!
Michigan representing the Midwest well, we appreciate you!
Before anyone tries to pop off about, “oh that’s bland American food” as a Mexican from Los Angeles, I once dated a woman from Michigan and had me over when her parents visited and watch a Lions game and said, “sorry but it’s white people food.” And then I got treated to not only a vast quantity of just really good home cooking, some really friendly and inviting people. And damn did her cousins know how to plow through a whole rack of beer. Glad the Jolly team got to experience this, especially in Detroit.

The most fun I ever had was when I traveled to watch my Steelers play the Bengals. The Bengals fans gave me crap for my Steelers Jersey, but they also had no problem sharing their food and beer. They made that trip one of the greatest times of my life. The food was amazing and the people were better. Now the only time I root against the Bengals is against my Steelers, any other time I will pull for them. Here's hoping you guys get to and win the SB next year.
I've only been able to see the Steelers live once - in 2006 in Cleveland. The Browns fans were some of the best pro fans I've ever encountered. Yeah, they gave me some good -natured ribbing for wearing all my Steelers gear, but they were kind, fun and an absolute hoot to enjoy a game with.
