Exactly bruh, this is exactly what I needed. So thankful because honestly this game has a lot of complexity to it but casual gamers like me don’t have much to go off besides watching pros and watching videos. There’s not a lot of classes or books on smash so getting info is a bit different

you can kinda just focus on one of these movement tech options, and then try to run around the stage while implementing it, kinda like shadow boxing

Watched the full thing. I had no idea who made it until I looked at the twitter account, and saw immediately that the people behind this project are all immensely talented and passionate about the game. Please don’t give up on this! I think you’re doing great work.

    • @Dn_119-w7w

@@Dn_119-w7w in my opinion using tilt stick is much better because without it i can't do running tilts which is essential for neutral (or depending on the character, to take stocks).

Something VERY important to Extended Dash that the video doesn't directly tell you is that in order for it to properly go though, you have to keep holding down the left stick in the direction you were dashing. You can't do a pure foxtrot with it, you have to hold it for a short period of time. Sat in training mode for 15 minutes until I realized it lol. 👍

hi ! I am a veteran in smash games in my region, and I use Smash Stick, and would like to add a correction : the pivot boosting tilt is 100% possible on Smash Stick. Do sliding and running tilts by aiming toward the diagonals. If your character doesn't have angled tilts, then you will end up performing a regular forward tilt.
I am not an native english speaker, so I Hope you will get what i mean !

Awesome video and great production. Another neat way to get forwards facing pivot cancel Uptilts/Dtilts is to input the skid and tilt on the same frame. It's frame perfect, but since it's a very simple timing with two sticks I find it more consistent than getting a precise c-stick angle in the heat of the battle.

since movement is the most important thing in a smash game, i think you should teach movement on platforms and in the air next, whether it be b-reverse specials to escape situations, or platform mixups to force your opponent into a scary situation

  • @madmax258285

I think if you made your voice slightly more animated, it would elevate the quality of the video that much more.
Like the energy you have when you speak on commentary, the different ebbs and flows of your voice will help.
    Keep it coming!

You can also pivot cancel up tilt and down tilt by pressing backwards on the control stick and the direction of the tilt on the c stick at the same time. This wont turn you around, and it doesn't require a specific angle

Charles! I did not realize you were the person making this video... Obviously you are extremely well qualified to give advice on smash bros, but I wont lie, when i first saw this video, i was like ‘great, another scrub trying to tell me how to play the game’, and i did not bother to subscribe. 3 weeks later, here i am, and ive discovered the truth. As an avid consumer of smash youtube content, there enough rando’s trying to make smash tutorials. I feel that some kind of intro addressing why you are a special/unique/superior source for smash guidance, could help out! Anyway, i look forward to seeing more of your content, and i wish you luck with your foray into smash youtube
