@@cryptomon86 they generally work with big box stores who don't really give half a shit about the hobby, that's the only reason. They can pass their scams off to kids and parents who don't know any better, but most actual card shops (at least in my experience) won't bother with them, everyone seems to know them for the scam that they are.

That premium box is sick!! Love that they threw classic collection in the promo slots. I just wish they had a different selection of pack choices. They should have done 2 packs of each S&V set in my opinion.
The only thing I lament with the powers combined collection is how the promos are unplayable, that literally broke my heart as I was hoping to play with suicune and Lugia
@@JustViprzig technically for fun with your friends, but in an oficial tournament you are forebidden to use either suicune, Lugia or ho-oh as well as the Kanto super tools as all of those cards say in the bottom that they are banned from legal tournament play

I wonder if these combined powers boxes weren't given many hits, my son and I recorded a video opening the box last night and only thing we got was an IR riolu from SV base. It was so lackluster I wasn't even considering editing it as I didn't think it would be entertaining to watch lol. As for the form factor, I like it. As someone who likes to collect and display collection boxes, it makes it easier to display more and have room for more and I kind of like the mystery of contents

I got the box, but mine was insane, instead of getting 3 packs of scarlet and violet I got three more both obsidian flames so that makes seven packs of obsidian flames packs and four Paradox rift and from that box got some great pulls
Who knows why Pokemon does what it does sometimes :/ They should make the starters in 3 separate boxes. If someone wants the zard, cough up $80 on a premium box for it. If you want blasty, cough up a $80. And the same for Venusaur.
I just got mine and my Mr. Mime have 5 small stars beside his hands. So instead of a swirl, mine have 5 stars. Its like a star shape with 5 small stars in each corners.
These are pretty great, I can never get enough of gen 1 and 2 nostalgia tbh. Hopefully they'll be available in India at some point, minus the obscene import duties.
Had this pre-release in my hand not knowing it was coming. My son was so sad when it didn't ring because Lugia is his favorite Pokemon. Will have to consider it as we're out shopping again!

I picked this up at best buy last week, on sale for 30 bucks plus I had a 5 dollar reward certificate, so I got a super deal. Haven't opened it yet though.

I really like the promos but I'm not a fine of the lineup. Obsidian Flame is the only pack I would be excited for and there are way better options. We got this box in at my job and I too was surprised at the heft

Combined Powers was pretty great. Edit: I got 5 hits out of it, compared to Rev’s none. Edit again: I had a Lost Origin in there somewhere too (opened these same two boxes).
Its almost like the Pokemon company got sick of MJ Holdings cutting in and decided to go for their own attempt at an official mystery box.

I did like that they compressed the box which would help plastic and cardboard waste however I do also see the sales perspective aspect
Fingers crossed that people don't catch on and they go on sale for half price after sitting on shelves for months with little sales

I was able to pick some up for more than half off at my local gamestop on black friday and got some pretty good pulls out of them!
