@@Katsu25 it would affect them man, seeing as necro can use 1st skill to farm them, those are not regular undy zombie, they are modified to take damage from spells as you can clearly see in the video

The reason this gamemode could tolerate many more units than dota usually does is because the zombie units codeblocks are probably very small compared to most. I doubt they are any more complicated than king's skeletons or even minions. Unlike with illusion units, which are entire heroes with modified stats, these don't eat memory or require lots of power to simulate so it could tolerate a much higher number of them. Add in decaying HP and their global aggro range, and they were all dying more than fast enough to keep things stable.
Yeah, I did account for performance when scripting this mod. The decaying health is the "Brainthirsty" passive which also increases the zombie's attack and move speed the longer they are "alive." I made sure this passive is destroyed on death. Also, I disabled clumping behavior on the zombies which helped with performance as well

Dota 2 but...
- when someone dies, the game becomes faster
- items are halfpriced and half as effective
- fountain's Rejuvenation Aura is global
- creeps have all the passives in the game
- towers provide all the auras in the game
- creeps have global aggro range
- you can revive your ally (tombstone)
- non-channelling spells are channelled for 1.5 seconds
- everyone goes into Wraith Form on death
- everyone has Mischief or Spell Steal
- everyone has Morph as ultimate
- when you chat, every jungle camps respawn
- when you chat, a global Meat Hook launches from the fountain
- when you chat, the Ancient permanently gains 7 hp
- when you chat, Roshan becomes a little bit more powerful and gives more bounty
- you gain +1 all attributes for every 2,500 units travelled
- no river and mid lane (midlane creeps off/diverted, and full of trees)
- someone will randomly die every 2 minutes on both sides
- one of your ally is already lvl. 25 (random)
- you gain both benefits of the talent tree for every point
- the Ancient has 0 cooldown Blade Mail and Dispersion
- trees have permanent neutral Ion Shells
- you leave a tree every 1,000 units travelled
- all items are shareable
- you drop an item at death
- secret shops and side shops fly randomly on the map
- your team share the same gold pool
- you can control the towers and lane creeps
- lane creeps spawn 1 unit at a time every 5 seconds
- unit bounties are random from 1 to 1,000
- glyph of fortification lasts 3 seconds and cooldowns for 10 seconds
- you have already eaten (a) Heart of Tarrasque, (b) Eye of Skadi, (c) Desolator, (d) Monkey King Bar, (e) Daedalus, (f) Butterfly, (g) Assault Cuirass, (h) Octarine Core, (i) Aghanim's Scepter, and (j) Moon Shard
- you start with 1 random item that costs 4,000 gold or more (excluding Divine Rapier)
- you start with 1 Divine Rapier
- you start with 1 Meteor Hammer
- Bottle never gets empty (global refill range from fountain)
- Magic Stick/Magic Wand gains charges globally
- Bloodstone gains charges globally
- Spirit Vessel gains charges globally
- Urn of Shadows gains charges globally
- you choose the hero for your enemy
- shrines are everywhere
- river gives huge passive experience/gold income
- river Essence Shifts your attributes every 2 seconds
- heroes respawn randomly in the river
- respawn timer is only 3 seconds
- you get silenced if not around enemy heroes
- you have rune buffs if around enemy heroes
- Ancients swapped places
- towers have Split Shot, Life Steal, Blade Mail
- shrines are fully replenished at all times (no cooldown)
- creeps have max movement speed
- creeps spawning fight for the mid lane
- creeps have random hero passives
- there are no trees
- there are no uphills/downhills
- you have vision of enemy heroes
- buildings can't be attacked except the Ancient
- cutting a tree give 100 gold
- fountains can't attack
- observer/sentry wards last 60 minutes
- Q cast different random Q spell per cast
- W cast different random W spell per cast
- E cast different random E spell per cast
- R cast different randon R spell per cast
- Passives are random every 2 minutes
- a neutral Chain Frost is bouncing infinitely on the map
- you get Rupture if you stay still for 3 seconds
- attribute gains are added only to the main attribute of the hero
- heroes have x100 their original mana pool
- couriers are insanely tanky
- all damages are pure damage, physical damage, or magic damage
- you can only buy consumables and bottles
- same items consume only 1 inventory slot (e.g. stackable Null Talismans)
- item costs and selling prices are the same
- last hits only give 5 gold bounty
- jungle creeps spawn every 20-second mark
- jungle creeps spawn and hunt heroes
- lane creeps are replaced with ancient creeps
- armor and hp of towers and buildings are doubled
- everyone has already Blink Dagger
- hp and mana pools are switched
- Iron Branch spawns a forest
- heroes respawn randomly on the map
- creeps spawn randomly on the map
- buying an item casts a random max level sunstrike/cataclysm
- each attack has a chance to Walrus Kick
- each attack permanently increase your hp by 7
- each attack will mini-stun for 0.01 second
- buyback has no cooldown and only costs 50 gold
- jungle camps are replaced with Roshans
- day/night visions are very small
- day/night visions are not shared among allies
- range are now melee and melee are now range
- hero deaths spawn an Aegis, a Cheese or a Refresher Shard
- creep deaths spawn an Enchanted Mango, or a Faerie Fire
- heroes have global Tether
- experience range of heroes are global
- it's already mega creeps
- Roshan has only 500 hp and respawns after 2 mins
- jungle camps are ancient camps
- Blink Dagger has global cast range
- runes spawns every 10 seconds
- the only remaining buildings are the Ancients
- the Ancients are in the fountains
- every spell casted puts down a Proximity Mine
- fountains have global range
- towers have global range
- Tome of Knowledge has no cooldown and costs less
- no max hero level
- every mana spent is converted to gold

About the names in Dota, most of the heroes in this game have their actual name in at least one of their abilities in the flavor text. Yes, the teeny tiny text that most people don't even realize is there when you hover over the ability

It is easier for me to remember faces then to remember name. So weird.
This sounds silly af but I've thought of Dota 2 but heroes do the opposite of what they should've been doing. Like for example, Pugna's ulti gives enemies health while stealing allies health xD
There's also nighstalker turning night into morning and pudge, instead of hooking the target towards him, he moves towards the target, drow ranger gaining the bonus agility when near heroes while her gust pulls heroes towards her. Downside of this is that some heroes can't have opposites sadly :/

Dota 2 but:
Its basketball- your ancients and tier 4 towers are swapped (you still need to push the tier 1-3 towers on their proper location)
Everyone is Doomsday- everytime you get killed via physical dmg gives you +2.5 armor, via magic gives you +2.5% magic resistance, and pure gives you both AND +2.5% status resistance
Everyone is on a sugar rush- multiply every value by 1.5, cd, cast points, dmg, etc. except cast range and attack range

Yea and the fact that dota characters are all indictionary for example spectre a vocabuluary word for changing and another is chrono means time and anigma an unknown thing and void in which there is no space so yea... Dota is the game which makes sense.

maybe it'd be a good idea to make a MOBA on the Serious Engine, because it was made to be able to deal with massive amounts of units at once and be super efficient about it. although, I don't know enough about it to actually tell. as far as I know, Source actually seems like a pretty sketchy engine for RTS type perspective.

Me too Baumi. I ask them about their names and by the second I turn around, I almost always forget their names. I can't call myself dumb either but it just happens. Then I always feel like I'm being rude for not remembering.

Pangolier comes from the name of the animal.
Lina is named after an anime character.
Luna obviously because night elves in wc3 are associated with the moon.
Furion, Bara etc. have their lore too. They are not random names. So your name better have some deeper meaning and references !! ^^

It's not weird that you don't remember names. Names are meaningless. No doubt you remember the names of people and things that mean something to you, but something as obscure a the name of Legion Commander's Q ability doesn't have enough neural strands to connect it to anything tangible. You can crutch this effect by memory games, like Legion Commander Q Overwhelming Odds= Lengthy Cats Quarrel Over opioids. Say it a few times one way and the other, and the unique strand of words becomes associated as another dimension of thought. Think about the picture and it becomes associated in visual memory; another dimension. Hear them fight and the opiods move around under their cat paws and that's another dimension. Etc, etc. There's no reason to cache something so obscure, but the more you cache in different dimensions it becomes almost impossible to forget something as long as you have the right recall queues.
