Everyone's chemistry is different. The only bond that works for me is the Walker Tape Ultra Hold tape, and Walker Tape Ultra Hold glue. I can get 12 days because I work in Maintenance so I work inside and outside with extreme temperatures here in NE Oklahoma, USA. We have tried this tape and Ghost Bond XL and Platinum but only got 5 days. Great videos.
I have just has this put on 2 says ago, the stylist said she didn’t like it as it didn’t give much hold but I am keen to see how it goes over the next week
I tried the 3/4 on your recommendation yesterday. So far so good! I just hate the cutting part, especially curved edges. It's tough dealing with the stickiness on the scissors. I want to make this job quicker. There's also Walker Lace Front Minis which are pre-cut and curved. Have you tried them before?
Can you please do a video on how to use ghost bond with a lace system? I have a lace system and currently use tape to attach the system, but can you just use ghost bond without the need to tape?? I thought it would come through the system, of so this would be great.
I’ll see as I’m very shortly moving over to a poly system. It’s really quite easy though - you apply a few layers of ghost bond at let that cure for at least 10 mins. Then you attach the lace base. Make sure you don’t get any wet non cured glue on the lace base
@@HairSystemDIY thank you for your reply, this is good to know so am I correct in thinking that the ghost bond has to be applied to the scalp in a number of lairs and left to cure then when it's ready u can apply the lace system?? I currently use tape but u can see the almost white of the tape through the lace system at the hairline
So what tape are you using for the front? The biggest issue I have is the tape showing on my front hair line…I just ordered the SuperSkin Remy through Lordhair and want to know what you would recommend for the front hair line…I’ve been using a full lace but I have been frustrated with the front hairline not being able to hide the tape through my hair system. I’m hoping the superskin solves some of these issues and creates a more realistic look.
It’s really a case of trial and error! I got lucky with ghost bond being the first one I tried and it worked well. But with tape I had to go through so many till I found a few that worked for me
@@HairSystemDIY thank you for your reply I also use holistique they are good have been wearing a system for 5 years tried so many products I remove once a week my system my best results have been full poly and great white glue now trying Walker safe grip glue unfortunately I do suffer either sensitive skin and scalp is especially sensitive

Been using this for years on poly works perfect
Just saw
A vid on Instagram of you. Your hairline looks lower and hair looks longer. It genuinely look good
I've noticed that without scalp protector, I have a better bond and longer hold with no lifts.
I have great success with the walkers no shine but am going to try this tape
your brilliant keep up the good work
Great video!!!

Lace front gives really good hold
that is good to hear it is day 5 now and seems to be holding up well@@HairSystemDIY
Lace Front or No-Shine. I haven't noticed any difference.
Thanks Adam gonna give it a go. Any suggestions for good scissors for cutting tape ?
Just large scissors available on Amazon will do
I did glue and no tape and it would get nasty after a while. I no longer wear and just shave my head and did SMP.

Don’t think I’ve tried the minis, mainly because I haven’t seen them anywhere. Is there a link?
There's also "Ultra Hold Mini Hair Tape" which I believe is another Walker product which promises "up to 6 weeks" hold. @@HairSystemDIY
@mythinktube ah yeh tried that one. Didn’t agree with my skin
@HairSystemDIY did it offer an equally strong bond as the lace front though?

The tape I talk about in this video
Hi...Do you use a base tape then the green or just the green on its own as a single tape?
No that’s for if you have a tear
Ghost bond gives me terrible irritation it takes my skin off my scalp I get on okay with great white glue any ideas for sensitive scalp????

Question:, do you tape up to the edge of lace or 1 to 2mm back from the edge at the front hairline?
Usually right to the end if I can buddy
Cut the tape’s corners to make them easier to meet the end of the base
Have you tried Sunshine tape yet?
Can’t find it in the uk!
@@HairSystemDIY hollistique sell it now 😎
@joshtinkler8191 oh great! Will get it next time. Have you tried it?
