    An ideal impulse function is a function that is zero everywhere but at the origin, where it is infinitely high. However, the area of the impulse is finite.

    In Vth problem, if we put some finite value at place of x(t), y(t) comes as zero and it should not be considered unbounded. So there is some confusion.

    • @Wheelie1999

      The definition of the dirac delta function states that when it's argument is equal to zero, it's amplitude is infinite. Therefore it is not bounded for all t and is unstable.

    How is an impulse function an unbounded function?

    • @akshaysachan6029
      @akshaysachan6029 6 лет назад +5

      Impulse function gives the slope of unit step function so it is zero at all points except at t=0. At t=0, the step function suddenly changes it's value from 0 to 1 so the rate of change is infinite as the change is instantaneous and therefore the impulse function is unbound.

    • @sruthitnair3199

      Impulse signal have value only at orgin and that value will be infinity .if it's specified as unit impulse then it's value will be 1

    • @MuhammadZeeshan-yg3ky
      @MuhammadZeeshan-yg3ky 4 года назад +1

      Because it can be approximated by a rectangle with infinitesimally small width and infinite height. Dear, the point is that causality must be satisfied for all times. Due to this reason, the above system is non causal. If you like the answer, please watch the following video and subscribe our channel.
