This band is such a happy recent discovery... and those gorgeous sustained vocal notes with the vibrato just take me straight to the land of Roy Orbison (one of my favourites)... add in that 80s vibe and it's pure magic.

Just saw Brigitte last night in Davenport IA. One of the best live performances I’ve seen. Ever. Pure, real, expertly crafted, and beautifully delivered. So glad I got to see and hear them in a small venue before they blow up!

Call me old-fashioned, but I think a band's haircuts should walk the line between amazing and preposterous. Bands should have the kind of hair that when you see it, you think "I couldn't pull that off - but I'm glad this guy does it for me." Bands should have the kind of hair that, you know, makes the type of people who would get angry about a haircut, angry. What I'm saying is 100 points out of a hundred for BCMB, yippieh!! And just so you know I am only talking about haircuts because we already know that this bands' songs are pure perfection, that's not the news. Haircuts are just the icing though, of course. The songwriting and the music, the intricate layering of the arrangement, the warmth of the sounds, the knowledge and the application and the sensitive tweaking of classic Indie Rock'n'Rolls guidelines that this band and Dave Cobb provide, that is the cake.
Yesterday I styled my hair like I did in the 80's. Not too shabby. I think that I will wear style it that way when I go to their show in Dallas tomorrow night. ❤

Roy Orbison crossed with the Smiths and Simple Minds. This would be right at home on the soundtrack of a John Hughes movie. I’ve listened to a lot of 80s throwback music, and this is at the top echelon. Not only do they throw back to the 1980s, but also to what the artists of the 1980s were inspired by.
Love you guys, and I really love how you use the classic equipment. That Les Paul reminds me of my 69 Black Beauty. With the yellowing trim. Hope is am original and not one of their throwbacks. I know that Amp is authentic. And that Princeton reverb.. awesome.
When I hear a song like this from a band I have never heard of, it really pisses me off because now i have to spend time investigating every song and album they have in their catalogue because I don't want to miss out on anything they have done. What a song, what a sound, what a melody, what a friggin band!!!
