This is the best video I've seen so far if you're looking to replace speakers in a 240sx keeping them mostly stock. My main concern was getting off the rear plastic covering where the two rear speakers are without damaging them.
Hi, all car doors have rain water run through them, the glass and scrapper moulding cant be water tight or the window would be unable to open. The plastic membrane behind the door card is too stop rain water from entering the vehicle, you might want too check the drain holes/slots in the bottom of your doors, these can block and cause water to pool in the bottom of the door and corrode wiring, speakers etc......great videos, Jon.
Hi Jon, yes, it did occur to me afterwards that it was natural for water to be in the door, I was just concerned that water appeared to be dripping directly onto the speakers. Perhaps it's a design fault. Glad you're enjoying the videos.

Just make sure you lift the rear speaker grilles up, then they'll come out properly. Even if you do fuck it up like I did you can fix it with epoxy.
Bout to tackle this after my rear speakers arrive. This is the most in depth video on changing speakers on the s13 hatch! Thanks
This is a ridiculously helpful video, thank you 🥰
Great video! I replaced the front speakers on my 1995 180sx but was put off tackling the rears due to the cover. This video helps a lot. Thanks mate!
I broke mine so you don't have to.
