Com o pequeno clarinete um instrumento difícil, aqui perfeitamente tocado.

É verdade. Ei você é o mesmo cara no comentário do "Dal Cielo Carder vid'io due stelle"?

Nice clarinet concerto, though the lack of use of the low register of the clarinet makes me wonder if the composer also hoped it would also be played by oboists and flutists. It is an early concerto for clarinet.

The baroque clarinet was more effective in the clarino registers partly due to the design and having two keys. Vivaldi did use the lower register in the two double concertos for two oboes and clarinets. Molter wrote these specifically for clarinet. The manuscripts attest to that.

Well musicologists believed it was a trumpet concerto at first so this has some merit 😀

Clarinet at the time couldn’t go that low, nor could it project.

@@felixclm Range, yes, but the few examples on line would seem to show that the instrument could project in what became the upper register.

Stunning clarinet concerto in barroque style. That's for A, Bb or Eb clarinet? This clarinet have no low register in that age or he just didn't use it for flutes and oboes can play too?
