This show proved to me how oblivious Cody is, if he wanted to give the fans what they want he would've turned heel and just act like Homelander: a narcissist who cares only for himself while seeing himself as an hero.
See, everyone knows wrestling is planned. But seeing the heels and faces buddying up behind the scenes just hurts the product. Knowing and seeing are two different things. You have to at least present the product as real as you can if you want the fans to be hyped. That is one of the biggest disservices that AEW has been doing for the product - The constant 'wink wink nudge nudge' stuff and the constant reminder that it is all a work.
To me the greatest issue with this episode is that they ruined Malakai Black's character by showing him thanking Dustin and hugging it out with Cody. AEW tries to put effort in pushing him as a dark assassin who'll hurt anyone in his path and then they just show him casually hugging it out with Cody? That shit pissed me off because it really hurt Malakai Black's character. I hope now that after his match with Cody Malakai will actually get to fued with guys like CM Punk or Christian and have an intresting fued with them.
I think this will also make others not want to work with him because of how he exposed Malakai. I bet others like Bryan, Eddie, Mox, Cole and CM Punk will be like: "nah Tony, don't book me with that moron, if u do i'm out". Dude is shooting himself on the foot.
BTW I do agree with that take @shai310, that episode ruined Malakai. In my opinion Andrade of all people kinda put an interest back in the feud cause if not I would be out.

Brandi was fine coming out w cody as a valet type. Really..his run in roh was good and his angle as the defacto leader of the bullet club was a really good angle. Brandy has vilified herself and her husband with her ridiculas nightmare collective and wanting to be a wreatler and having zero self awareness to be a main star . I may not always agree with Cornette, but I 100% agree that this reality show being on RIGHT after the wrestling show is horrible. Maybe if they actually all actually acted like their characters and had reality mixed in with it, it could possibly work.
