This is why they’ll keep making bad games. They’ve made the bar so low that they don’t even have to make a good game for fans to start complimenting it.
Mirage is honestly my favorite AC, Baghdad is so beautifully detailed & I loved art style, the soundtrack, the story, & just everything about this game.
The reason I bought it a few weeks ago. Seems it’s on sale for quite a while lol. But anyway, it was really enjoyable. Got around 45 hours in the game and finished almost everything, also platinum'ed the game. All I got left to do is to solve the enigmas, but apart from that, I think I did pretty much everything. And it was really enjoyable. Played the first two AC games around ten years ago when I was still a kid and Mirage kinda took me back to old times with the parkour and stealth. So, definitely worth the 25 bucks…
Also on replay, some missions have multiple ways you can carry them out, different ways to infiltrate enemy strongholds. An updated gameplay mechanic from the RPG trilogy is how enemy strongholds tend to have archers, who will prevent Enkidu from being used to scout the location until they are taken out by Basim.
i actually just finished a couple days ago! first half of mirage was kind of mid but second half was really enjoyable. love the story and basim as a character. 8.5/10
As someone who has spent 45h in game, did 4 Permadeath runs (out of which 1 was a fail at the final boss battle), I will say. This was definitely one of the best games I've played! It has a lot of things missing but it's still a great game.
Finished mirage a few weeks ago. It's definitely worth it. The world is absolutely gorgeous, probably top 3 cities ever created for an ac game. The game is consisted of literally almost only assassination missions. You go from one assassination mission to another for almost the entire game so true ac fans will enjoy it. However, because all you do is go from one assassination mission to another the story doesn't really have anything else going on for itself, which makes the story not as great as the older ac games. I was really satisfied with the gameplay, even tho it wasn't perfect. The stealth and combat are really great, however basim's extremely slow assassination animations and the lack of double assassinations don't make the gameplay as fun as it could have really been. As for the parkour, I'd give it a solid 6 or 7. It's not perfect, however the city is so well designed for parkour that it makes up for it. All in all, it's definitely the best game ac game to come out of ubisoft since ac syndicate and definitely worth playing.
I don't know about others but when I first saw the trailer of mirage, I decided to play it, when I get time and buy the game eventually whether it is 2024 or 2043. Happy gaming and I have lots of hopes and expectations from Shadow.
Fantastic take. Very thought out. Well done. This was the perfect video for me; I’m debating getting Mirage now that it’s got some decent sales going on. Saw it somewhere for $20. But wasn’t sure. Sounds to me like the developers were listening to the community with this one. Fans said old games, old stealth. We miss that. So this brilliant smaller team designed a combat and gameplay design around filtering your play style into stealth. That three-kill-teleport combo thing is a tool designed for careful planning, reconnaissance, thinning out the heard and then using it to close the gap. In some way I feel like Ubisoft should applauded for listening to the fans who said, quite loud - and I heard it - We Want Stealth AC. And they gave fans that. Smaller - stealth - focused game at cheaper cost
It‘s a pretty damn good AC game considering they had to work with what’s been established in Valhalla; the stealth mechanic is arguably the best in the franchise, parkour is decent but can be fun at times, and the setting is just perfect. Imagine if Ubi Bordeaux was given enough budget and development time for a proper main AC title
I’ve been playing AC Mirage for the first time recently and I think it is a great return in the right direction as someone who supports ac no matter what but I truly have been really enjoying this game and think it is a great back to its roots game
You should play this game, if you really love the OG AC gameplay. But please, wait for a discount. I bought it pre-order and while I don't have legitimate complaints considering it was still cheaper than the previous main titles, I just found the experience lacking in length. And story presentation really needed better voice acting and animations (facial especially). However, I must say that it was really nice to finally play again like an Assassin with all the tools at disposal. I just replayed Unity last week to finish up the Dead Kings DLC and let me just say, Unity's combat system feels so slow. You could see their movements easily before they hit you. You just die from being overwhelmed. In Mirage you can also get overwhelmed by a lot of enemies but it's much snappier so you can respond better. Though I can't feel much of the impact of Basim's sword slashes. I also appreciate having regular eagle vision available, because today I was playing Origins and lacking the regular eagle visions was such a pain. I hate using the birs to tag enemies.
I brought it a few months after release and was happy with it. Playing in the setting of Islamic Golden age was amazing! Just wish they made the game a lot more bigger.
Short answer: Yes. Yes. And yes. Long answer: I just beat it on permadeath mode. I'm on the verge of platinuming it. I'm still discovering and learning to master its systems. From a gameplay perspective, it is my favorite game in the entire series (extremely high praise, considering it used to be Unity/Liberation, which are extremely close seconds) it has the strongest combination of all 3 pillars of Assassin's Creed gameplay (stealth, combat, parkour) though the parkour is modest in comparison to the older games, when you master it you can make it look and feel great. And it's even better now that they buffed side/back ejects. There are youtube guides by Dallin and *Wary Bubbles* (especially Wary) that can teach you how to make it more consistent. For context, I have never played Valhalla, and I genuinely have no desire to. (Never getting his original robes smh)
I'm enjoying it but I wouldn't recommend it to anybody who wasn't a hardcore fan of the franchise. I find movement in parkour to be a lot jankier than some of the other titles though, but I enjoy just exploring Baghdad and collecting stuff well enough
The game is definitely my favorite since Syndicate. Stealth, the city, a focus on real History again. Story was OK but the ending blew me away. I also don’t think its a short game. I saw a comment once people saying they beat the game in 8 hours?!? I knew it was BS, the game is meant to be played methodically with stealth and fully explored. I 100%ed it in 55 hours
Solid game that I can recommend to ac fans who have been wanting traditional stealth. Story isn’t anything crazy and open combat is pretty bad but you should be avoiding open combat for most of your play through anyways. Love the permadeath mode and imo I appreciate the shorter length of the game as it can be something I can just replay whenever I feel like without having to commit hundreds of hours.
People hate on this game for NO REASON ( apart from the combat ) like, the Teleporation ability. You have the option to not use it at all. and honestly its really cool, and useful. This game is just beautiful, with the attention to detail including its Azan. Ive also gotten the Deluxe edition for 30 dollars.
The first act and third act was great. The second act, which was the major chunk of the game, felt a little flat because they again gave you a choice of which target to go after. While I appreciate the freedom of choice, it comes at the cost of the pacing. The story slows down until you have eliminated all 4 targets.
This game brought back memories of how I would wander around in AC1 and constantly get in fights with guards. Only thing I wish is that they added more counter kill animations. Those were my favorite part of combat in the older games.

@@darknesswave100 agreed same! That is the way to play. I enjoy the open combat in assassins creed as well don’t get me wrong but if that’s all you want to do there’s better games for that like shadow of war. Assassins creed is the king of stealth
Mirage is fun but I can’t say I’ve replayed it at all. The music is really incredible, it’s obvious how much thought was put into the musical aspect of the game.
I finally had enough to purchase the game recently only to find that it doesn't run on my laptop. It's annoying really, but I'm not going to refund the game, if I even can do that. I like to support games that do what I want to see, which is what AC Mirage does mostly. The stealth, listening to the community, setting, and story of the game are reasons I decided to purchase the game.
You'll eventually play it when you get a better rig. Mirage performs quite well. Never experienced any crashes with this game (unlike Valhalla, crashed like 10 times).
I think the reason there’s no irl scenes in mirage is because it was originally planned as the dlc for Valhalla which don’t include those sequences and Bordeaux didn’t have the resources to add t(at and still make a good game.
The multiple takedown thing is basically Batman Arkham fear takedown where you could take down like six enemies at once except he just knocked them out, but basim would kill them lol 😂 going from vahalla to mirage was like night day on the scale They’re both beautiful games and I love norse the mythology kinda got lost all the story, but I actually recently went back to go play Valhalla cause I forgot some storyline stuff so I went back to figure out some stuff a little bit better in mirage before I progressed further. - every once in a while, I’ll play the DLC of the Valhalla just to get a different thought process on God of war Ragnarok and the diffrent depictions of Norse mythology but mirage was cool he definitely don’t feel invincible in the beginning, especially
It’s not just you. You could switch out screenshots from Origins and this and not sure I could tell the difference. Ubisoft is good at this, making these areas seem fresh and new but often can be similar. I wonder what Shadows will look like. That release, will have some of lush Vahalla landscape I believe, maybe with some cherry trees tossed in and other assets.
@@AJ-dx6bnI don’t expect it to be in my top tier list but I hope I enjoyed the game as much as RUclipsr MasterAssassin does. And I’m glad it’s not as overwhelming as Odyssey and Valhalla were.
Though I was disappointed with how the story went, I do believe you should play Mirage, even in 2024 to do PermaDeath. Especially since people have been complaining that they want Old School Assassin's Creed back, and this game is exactly that.
Bro been awhile since I dropped a comment. Another great video, I think 100k subs will be easy for you to get by next year. I think mirage was good, I think it should have definitely stayed as a DLC but Bordeaux did a great job. Imagine what they can do with a full budget. Looking forward to you continued updates on shadows, fingers crossed it won't be completely shit 😂😂
I just want a good unique story for ac. I’m not even concerned about gameplay anymore. Ac stories now have been very meh or at least decent but not ever good. origins is like the only recent ac game that had an engaging and interesting story.
I would say yes I got it for half off during the Days of Play and it’s probably my current favorite AC gameplay wise simply because it’s the only true Assassin like AC we have on PS5 that runs at 60fps now if the others ran at 60 other than the RPGs then it would be a different story the story was pretty eh tho
After the very dissapointing ac valhalla, sorry, barred door simulator, I hope this one delivers, I was going to begin with the discovery tour and that also was a massive let down, thank god I bought both of them on disscount, and I think I will do the same with shadows, 50 usd for both was not bad, but not full price. Let's see with mirage, at least it has stealth.
Man i feel like brotherhood was cool as hell , i didnt even care about that first one, yea i played it, beat it But there was nothing to it, kinda husk like in a way, i think it was a physics engine demo type game, not to take away from it, but that second one, was so damn good when it dropped
Finally got around to playing it last month and really enjoyed it i feel its over hated.

Pls Ubisoft do not listen to the hate. This game is actually insane if you put the time in to understand the controls. The parkour is fluent and allows for full player freedom if you understand how it works. I think it’s better than Unity’s tbh.
Why does everyone hate assassin focus? I think it’s a cool feature plus I don’t even use it that often but it comes in handy when you have a group of guards.
While Mirage did deliver on the bare minimum feel for an Assassin's Creed game (assassins robes, parkour, killing templars), I feel that it was really far from a "return to roots" and was lacking in so much. The entire section where Basim is training with Roshan always bugs me because the minute he dives into the sea, the next moment, he is a few days into training. A lot of the "training" was basically just a cutscene montage too. I felt the entire thing was a wasted opportunity. Basim was a street thief who believed in justice for those stomped on, I want to know what the Creed and being an assassin means to him. It was all such a waste. Basim also doesn't really learn anything or change as a person (I'm not talking about discovering the ginni loki thingy) The parkour, while a slight improvement from Valhalla and aided by the setting, is by no means a "return to roots". People always say that the parkour should follow Unity's but I beg to differ. Unity's parkour was flashy, but the player control and freedom was terrible. If anything, a true return to roots would have followed the parkour mechanics of AC1-ACR. Then, to improve it, add the flashiness of Unity. As for the story, I felt it was meh at best. Basim's goal is discovering about the Ginni but honestly, I felt that should have been an entire side content/DLC. What made the story of Altair, Ezio and Edward so compelling was discovering what the Creed means to them, what being an assassin means to them, how their lives have changed as a result and how they changed lives as Assassins. Mirage was a perfect opportunity for this as Basim is a street thief. He looks up to the Hidden Ones as people who fight for the oppressed. There are times where he (and Nehal) questions the Creed which I really like, but I wish that had more of an impact and role in the story. Stealth I feel is the only thing I really liked about Mirage. For those who are considering getting Mirage, I feel you will enjoy it if you just like the bare minimum feel of being an Assassin, without caring for good writing (You would prob like Unity or Syndicate too to an extend)
I really don’t understand why everyone says stealth is good in this game when it s actually awful. Enemy AI is dumb af you can assassinate next to them and they wont notice you somehow, they dont hear anything, social stealth didn t work for me, everytime, even tho i was blended in within the group the guards still attacked me. The parkour is janky and slow, i actually enjoyed valhalla parkour more. Mirage’s parkour drives me crazy sometimes with Basim running in place, not finding a place for his hands on buildings wasting time jumping around everywhere but where i want him to
I would say yes and no. If you expect a story flow from Valhalla, than you will be massively disappointed. But if you cut this loose, it’s a pretty solid and good game to grab on sale day 🤷♂️
Great game. It’s Ubisoft saying yes we still know how to make Assassin games. But are they going to learn from their time making Mirage and focus on these things in their other games? Who knows. AC in the gaming industry has become exactly just as lost as Star Wars in the film industry. And just like Disney, Ubisoft is a snake and tries to trick players with bait and switch / nostalgia bait tactics into sticking with the series.

@@matteolefevre9514 hookblade was fine, didn’t really use the bombs and I didn’t like the tower defense. I was perfectly fine with how they did the recruitment and deployment of assassin recruits in Brotherhood.
Im jumping into it now, satisfys my prince of persia need.
One of best assassins creed games in awhile, gameplay was a lot of fun had the best stealth, story was mid and setting was good feels a lot like ac 1 a great return to the roots!
Agree with everything but you forgot the combat, I wonder why😅
@@matteolefevre9514 you don't want to go full combat as an assassin
@@darknesswave100 agreed same! That is the way to play. I enjoy the open combat in assassins creed as well don’t get me wrong but if that’s all you want to do there’s better games for that like shadow of war. Assassins creed is the king of stealth
Easily one of my favorite AC's in the moment. Still play it since launch too lol
Mirage is fun but I can’t say I’ve replayed it at all. The music is really incredible, it’s obvious how much thought was put into the musical aspect of the game.
Yes, the Arabic music of the golden age is a luxury and satisfying
It was good. Plain and simple. Thank god it was shorter than the last 3.
This part! Voting with your wallet is so important
No offense but the company gets the money, not the people who actually made the game
@@felixgeorgescu2230 well, to an extent yeah, but more sales can show consumers want more of that thing 🤷
@@Reditect I guess you're right as well
I think the reason there’s no irl scenes in mirage is because it was originally planned as the dlc for Valhalla which don’t include those sequences and Bordeaux didn’t have the resources to add t(at and still make a good game.
The only bad thing about the stealth is the detection system, the enemies are so stupid
It’s not just you. You could switch out screenshots from Origins and this and not sure I could tell the difference. Ubisoft is good at this, making these areas seem fresh and new but often can be similar. I wonder what Shadows will look like. That release, will have some of lush Vahalla landscape I believe, maybe with some cherry trees tossed in and other assets.
after playing Valhalla
Mirage does feel Old School AC Game
Mirage has my favorite map in the franchise, i just love a middle eastern setting, it just doesn't do anything remarkably unique
i stopped after a few hours to replay Revelations and it’s so much better in every single way.
I plan to play Mirage after I’m done with LEGO Star Wars the Skywalker saga. Hopefully I can complete mirage before shadows comes out.
It's a 10 hour game like the old assassin creed game, you'll enjoy every hour of it
@@AJ-dx6bnI don’t expect it to be in my top tier list but I hope I enjoyed the game as much as RUclipsr MasterAssassin does. And I’m glad it’s not as overwhelming as Odyssey and Valhalla were.
You saved me money. Thanks!
Glad I could help!
Though I was disappointed with how the story went, I do believe you should play Mirage, even in 2024 to do PermaDeath. Especially since people have been complaining that they want Old School Assassin's Creed back, and this game is exactly that.
Assassin's Creed mirage was sample assassin's Creed game it has some mechanics in their that people recognize
Basim is my favorite assassin and I’m hoping for a sequel for him. Which I’ve heard that they’re planning on making
What you like in Bassim?
Please tell everything
@@NajiOnTop nah too lazy to tell you
@@MirageDeception.
Oh please
I actually quite enjoyed playing mirage. Don't get me wrong wasn't amazing but still had some fun elements
Bro I swear I be trying to jump in a Hay-bale and basim just jumps right next to it and either jumps to his death or loses a lot of health
ngl I literally JUST finished the game 20 minutes ago. I got it two weeks ago on sale (deluxe version) 🎉
I would say yes I got it for half off during the Days of Play and it’s probably my current favorite AC gameplay wise simply because it’s the only true Assassin like AC we have on PS5 that runs at 60fps now if the others ran at 60 other than the RPGs then it would be a different story the story was pretty eh tho
yup I might get it soon always wanted too!
Hell yeah you should play origins again to get idea how big their map was also the games still got great combat hell most of them do
After the very dissapointing ac valhalla, sorry, barred door simulator, I hope this one delivers, I was going to begin with the discovery tour and that also was a massive let down, thank god I bought both of them on disscount, and I think I will do the same with shadows, 50 usd for both was not bad, but not full price. Let's see with mirage, at least it has stealth.
Is it worth playing Valhalla it's the only one I haven't played.
@TheMasterNathan25 it's really not, felt like a chore.
Man i feel like brotherhood was cool as hell , i didnt even care about that first one, yea i played it, beat it
But there was nothing to it, kinda husk like in a way, i think it was a physics engine demo type game, not to take away from it, but that second one, was so damn good when it dropped
About the eject problem that sometimes they work and sometimes not instead of using X try using ⭕ (the circle)
Do an all games ranked please 🙏
Yes u should good map but mid story ehh could given better story
It's because of Valhalla on why the story is that way, it has to tie it in
@@David-nq8cv true
Finally got around to playing it last month and really enjoyed it i feel its over hated.
i got the game when it release and enjoyed the little bit ive played but didnt have time to actually play until a few weeks ago and it had me hooked and at this point it is my favorite game in the series for now so i do recommend playing this year only if you are genuinely interested
Did you play Valhalla ? I know it’s not an assassins creed game exactly but would you say it’s better than that
Bro the music in Mirage is the most luxurious in the whole franchise
@@NajiOnTop good to hear, honestly Valhalla was my first assassins creed that I actually owned and played, I liked the mythological gods and all so I don’t know what to expect with this game
@@imjussleeping
If you are still kid that game would be a part of your childhood and you will love it so much
Be yourself and don't listen to people who are spamming about Ezio and Ezio family theme they are so annoying
Live your own way ☺️✨
It is so good it deserved a DLC with an additional story
How about the music
Absolutely. In my top 5.
Personally I love Mirage, I've been wanting something like this for a long time. Sure it's not perfect, the AI doesn't work well and the animations are dreadful but aside that it's just so fun to play. Top 5 for me
How about the music
I'm really putting it number one in the whole franchise
@@NajiOnTop music is definitely top on the list
@@UnivingIshiro
I should study about the Arabic music of the golden age of Islam
Maybe another era of music would be made by me because I love music ☺️✨
@@NajiOnTop same, but I wanna know more about the Arabs in general. They are fascinating!
Pls Ubisoft do not listen to the hate. This game is actually insane if you put the time in to understand the controls. The parkour is fluent and allows for full player freedom if you understand how it works. I think it’s better than Unity’s tbh.
Playing on my iPhone and definitely refreshing
Basim also doesn't really learn anything or change as a person (I'm not talking about discovering the ginni loki thingy)
The parkour, while a slight improvement from Valhalla and aided by the setting, is by no means a "return to roots".
Mirage’s parkour drives me crazy sometimes with Basim running in place, not finding a place for his hands on buildings wasting time jumping around everywhere but where i want him to
Yes
Great game. The city and soundtrack are outstanding
Yes the music is the most luxurious in the whole franchise ☺️✨
I would say yes and no.
If you expect a story flow from Valhalla, than you will be massively disappointed.
But if you cut this loose, it’s a pretty solid and good game to grab on sale day 🤷♂️
Some say hes still killing encamped enemies to this day, they just spawn and keep spawning , HELP
I think it's the best but that's because this is the only one I've played from the hole series😅😅
The music in Mirage is the most luxurious in the whole franchise
In my opinion
And my opinion can't be wrong
I would definitely enjoy this game if epic game stop messing up everytime i boot the game up
I played 3 hours, the game is crap tbh, dialog is awful. Feels catered to children tbh
Dishonored has the best stealth of all games i have played imo
Basim isn't a superhero, he's literally a fucking god!
