There is a bird, I think the Cooper's Hawk, that has a "shiny" version that makes up only like 25% of the population and that population tends to live in urban areas because their lack of browns blends better with buildings than trees. I also got a pic of a shiny Canadian Goose like 2 days ago. I wish I could share pics here lol
Damn, my sincerest condolences. With the pandemic though, people going outside is not as common as before (well at least in my country), which means there are less people likely going to the beach. Meaning plenty have not bought sun screen and spf lotion in awhile now. Also meaning stores have not been successful at selling those products. 👀👀👀 With that in mind, I hope you get plenty of discounts and lower prices when buying your skin protection products.

It is true that animals that are of a color pattern less adapted to their environment are more likely to die due to predators being able to spot them more easily, which is why it's so important for us to catch shinies 💜

My first wild shiny when I was actually aware of the shiny Pokemon, was shiny meditite in RUBY which spawned on Mount Pyre. I used steel wing of my Altaria. CRITICAL HIT and meditite is Gone.
I can mention one natural shiny that doesn't seem to have the full albinism trait, just mostly. The kodiak bear in the forests of Northern BC is rare, but only about 1 in 7, and interbreeds without issue with the rest of the population. Their area is highly protected because of them.

Wow. There you go. Towards the end of this video, there is a decription of Pokemon trainers breeding in order to get shiny Pokemon. What you are describing is the same thing except with real animals. It is probably easier in real life than in the game. One just selects the piebald individuals to breed. Then their offspring will likely inherit the pattern. I have noticed that piebald animals are more common in domesticated species. They were probably bred for show. They are so sought after that they are more likely to succeed in artificial selection. There are quite a few animals I have seen with the piebald pattern. There are dogs, cats, mice and horses. The most famous example is the Holstein cows. Holstein is a famous dairy breed. The animals are piebald. They are white with black blotches. This look has become the iconic appearance of cows in the media. The cow Pokemon, Miltank, looks a lot like that except pink. The reason for breeding a piebald pattern in cows is likely just for show. I wonder if there are other uses. Maybe the white is reminiscent of milk. So this indicates a dairy breed as opposed to a beef breed. Maybe the white makes it easier to find the cows in a field. Holstein has bulls too. They look so surreal. They look so much like the iconic image of the cow. They got the same piebald pattern. However they don't have udders. Instead they have the same male reproductive parts that other kinds of bulls have. The Holstein is the best example of a piebald animal in captivity.

I was thinking about Skeeter from Doug.
Looking at graphs of their family tree the problem didn't actually start until two cousins who had the same great grand parents had children and then their son married his niece. So the mutation actually took root very quickly when this couple produced many children leading to widespread distribution of the mutation. Subsequent generations didn't inbreed with close cousins but the mutation was now already widespread in their community.
Given that fact, it's safe to say that the mutation is most likely more widely distributed in Kentucky as a result of this family compared to other parts of the US. It appears the discoloration is actually a result of poor oxygen saturation in the blood leading to the flesh being oxygen deprived. This gives the person a similar grey blue complexion to that found on corpses.

Pied ball pythons arent too rare anymore, collector tend to go after and try to breed patterns, and will breed pied ball pythons together to see the results. I have a normal ball python and albino
Wow. There you go. Towards the end of this video, there is a decription of Pokemon trainers breeding in order to get shiny Pokemon. What you are describing is the same thing except with real animals. It is probably easier in real life than in the game. One just selects the piebald individuals to breed. Then their offspring will likely inherit the pattern. I have noticed that piebald animals are more common in domesticated species. They were probably bred for show. They are so sought after that they are more likely to succeed in artificial selection. There are quite a few animals I have seen with the piebald pattern. There are dogs, cats, mice and horses. The most famous example is the Holstein cows. Holstein is a famous dairy breed. The animals are piebald. They are white with black blotches. This look has become the iconic appearance of cows in the media. The cow Pokemon, Miltank, looks a lot like that except pink. The reason for breeding a piebald pattern in cows is likely just for show. I wonder if there are other uses. Maybe the white is reminiscent of milk. So this indicates a dairy breed as opposed to a beef breed. Maybe the white makes it easier to find the cows in a field. Holstein has bulls too. They look so surreal. They look so much like the iconic image of the cow. They got the same piebald pattern. However they don't have udders. Instead they have the same male reproductive parts that other kinds of bulls have. The Holstein is the best example of a piebald animal in captivity.
