This one took so long!! So many little details...
A special thank you and shout out to @kraminapmusic who did the Perplexing Pool remix for this video. Kraminap is an excellent video game remixer here on RUclips, and I commissioned him to do a pikmin remix after hearing his “Forest of Hope” remix on his channel. I absolutely love how it came out and think he did a great job, so feel free to check him out if you enjoy stellar video game remixes as I think he’s severely underrated!

Heyyyy this is amazing!! What a piece of work, with so many details, colors, and textures! Really well done!👏Thank you again for the "Perplexing Pool" commission and of course for your kind words on the video description. It was a pleasure making the remix and I'm so happy to see how the ship turned out! 🤩
Hey Kraminap! Thank you so much! No problem at all. I'm so happy I was able to find your channel so I could commission you to make the remix cause I think it adds so much to the video. You really did a great job! Thanks again :)
The clay renders the game uses finally seem worthwhile thanks to this video
it's fun to look at this and then compare it with the clay model used for promotional material and stuff. nice job on the sculpture!
Thank you so much!
I WISH I COULD SUB TWICE THIS IS AMAZING
also if u are planning on another pikmin creation I think making a firey Bulblax or a burrowing snagret
Thank you so much! And I definitely am, so stay tuned! 🔥😎
@ OMG YES ➖♥️➖
I used to make Pikmin figures with clay as a hobby, I never could have imagined making anything with this kind of talent! It looks like you pulled the model straight out of the game, incredible work 👍
Thank you very much! I really appreciate that!
The fun part is to think that this replica is actually the canon size of the Hocotate Freight Ship.
Anyways, so cool 🚀🔥
@@ZombieChicken1310 Thank you very much!!
This is incredible... Adore this

The weathering and custom shadows really make this one pop! Can’t wait to see what you’ll make in the future!

I can not tell you how happy I am to see this. I always wanted you to make another Pikmin themed sculpture, and I guess I got the perfect early Christmas gift. This video.
I’m so glad! I’m happy you enjoyed my pikmin sculpt! Thanks for watching! :)
BEAUTIFUL!
Thank you!
Take my money!!!
wow you did an amazing job with this! What are those odd details that look like Louie as an angel? Definitely never noticed that before...
Hey thanks! Haha I suppose they do kinda look like Louie! I’m not exactly sure what the history is behind them but I just saw them on the model so I added them!
Wooah, this is incredible! Sculpted Nostalgia, you've done a fantastic job here, as usual, and I thoroughly enjoyed watching this creation from start to finish. Even as a person who's not familiar with the Pikmin series, I found this really captivating! I can see why it took so long, too, as the level of polish and detail is indicative of the countless numbers of hours spent on it - your hard work really shows here!
Seeing different steps in the process is always genuinely fascinating, and I know it's just a very small fraction of the actual time spent on each part. You strike an excellent balance between showing much of the precise detail work that goes into shaping, cutting, assembling, painting, etc. while keeping the pace of the video snappy and engaging. Just selecting and editing down the footage must have been a huge task in itself, and it's amazing how you maintain the continuity, as well, with each cut feeling like a natural progression of the project. Huge props for the camera work and video editing alone!
I have to say, it is so genuinely impressive the way you're able to achieve such clean and shapely lines. It's neat seeing the initial incisions and watching them transform into crisp edges and perfectly symmetrical shapes. You have an amazing sense of scale and proportion, too, as all of the rounded pieces (e.g., rods, spheres) look smooth as heck, as if they were machine-cut - I feel like it's a tough thing to do, getting all these pieces the exact sizes and shapes they need to be. And man, the precision work with those tiny details is so impressive, like the placement of those miniature dots at 4:50 or the way you created that "tide fighter"-shaped piece with the paperclip. The fact that you do it all on camera is insane, as I imagine it's considerably tougher to work while needing to keep the pieces in a certain part of the frame.
And as wildly impressive as the construction of the Hocotate Ship is, my favorite thing to watch was the coloration process. The different textures you were able to achieve using different layers of paint and brushes alone is insane, and the rusting and weathering effects look awesome! It's one of those things that would be hard to believe it was done by hand if you didn't show it on camera! I really like seeing the different tools and techniques you used, too, like applying masking tape to target certain areas, or using an airbrush for inset areas. Even just the way you mix paint in certain ratios makes it feel like you have this innate sense of what certain color combinations will yield.
The finishing touches are so charming, too, and I like how you used two halves of a plastic toy container (or ornament, maybe?) for the rounded windows - very creative! It's so satisfying, seeing the final project displayed on that rotating platform at varying speeds, and watching it all from start to finish really makes it feel like the viewer is there with you, every step of the way (while doing none of the hard work 😂). And as a VGM enthusiast, I have to commend KraminapMusic for the wonderful remix of Perplexing Pool - it's always exciting to discover new artists, and I love that you often feature hidden gems in your videos from lesser-known creators. The way you show appreciation and enthusiasm for your audience is infectious, as well, and it makes me proud to be part of your fanbase!
Once again, fantastic work here, my friend! I hope this tiny little rocketship makes its mark in the big world of RUclips! 🚀
Hey thanks Equalyze! I really appreciate your detailed feedback, it's always a pleasure to read. Thanks for mentioning the editing as it's a big goal of mine to make it engaging, so the fact you feel its snappy and flows is great to hear! I edit while I make the sculpture over the time it takes me to make it, that way it's more manageable. I also am able to see what I need that way in terms of if I need to get a specific shot for the video, rather than finishing it and not being able to go back. But yeah thanks for that!
Getting the ship to be the right proportions was a challenge for sure. I'd say this one was the most time intensive sculpt I've done too because of all the ship parts needing to be symmetrical and smooth and to do that I basically had to sand all the parts of the ship individually which took FOREVER lol. You're very observant about this stuff though cause it is definitely a bit more difficult to sculpt while recording cause you're exactly right it has to be in frame lol. Sometimes there's portions that I want to focus on and keep a steady hand close to my face but I have to have my hands wrapped around a camera lol, but hey that's just how it goes haha. Thanks! I'm really happy with how the rust came out too so thanks for that, it was a learning curve getting it right for sure. But I think you're giving me too much credit on being a wizard of color theory cause I am still learning a lot haha! Don't tell anyone but I'll often add all the colors together and it's still not right so I'll fix it and add more off camera 🤫
Yeah that was a little plastic ornament I used for the windows! I was originally thinking I would have to make them in resin but then I happened upon those one day and was so happy cause that was such an easier solution lol. But yeah Kraminap rules, he did such a good job on that remix, super underrated remixer!
Thanks again for the nice comment, I super appreciate it!
How on earth does this not have more views?

Your work is always insane! I hope to be near your level! I like seeing tricks and tools you use.
What model of clay do you like?
Thank you so much! I use epoxy clay :)
You should try modeling Metal Sonic from Sonic the Hedgehog.
Nice!
Thank you!
All your projects always end up looking identical to the source material. May I ask what clay you're using to get it so flawless?
Thank you! I'm happy you think so! I use epoxy clay.
