Another classic by Chris Rea. This is a great song who also reveal high frequencies and subbass of preamp and cartridge so is a perfect song for testing set up's.

I was considering this track and also "Texas" when i made my video with this album months ago. In the end, "The Road To Hell" won the contest, LOL!
The Ortofon did a splendid job with this track, maybe better than the other cartridge on your older video with "You Must Be Evil". This one sounds more tamed, maybe. Not sure how much of this is due to the different preamps, though.

Mmm, 🤔, in both videos it's a basic OM cart; in this case with a nude elliptical (om20) stylus while in the other video the needle was a Fineline (2m Bronze). Maybe the om20 is more suitable for the bright carachter of this record. The alignment is also different: Stevenson vs. Baerwald. As you said, the preamps also take an important role. This PJ Phono Box RS might be great (in fact it really is) but the ARC LP1 is better 😎 the only advantage that the RS has over the LP1 is the versability in settings.

Any Chis Rea is appreciated. "And You My Love" would be hauntingly beautiful. Thanks for all your uploads.

Nice song. I have the OM 10. Is the OM 20 a big step up?

How did you make that cork mat? Do you think it really helps against vibrations from the motor?
    Thanks
